Yeah! This was at Rockit Music in Brea, CA several years ago. I was fortunate enough to be there for his Mesa Amps clinic that night. I did not know of Andy Timmons prior to this but, I've been a huge fan ever since. I see him at the NAMM show every year and he is always very personable. Great freakin' Guitarist!

well, let's just say i've had quite a dramatic change of beliefs on guitar gear lately, going from being a LP guy to a strat convert, and i know have different opinions.

Well, it's specs are probably as close to a strat as Simonsez can get. But from a collectors standpoint, it won't appreciate as much as a strat.

If someone told me you could make an Ibanez and a Mesa Boogie sound like that I wouldn't have believed them...

Yeah, cause Andy doesn't play fast licks here...It doesn't have to be MINDLESS SHREDDING, but shredding can be also good if you want to express feelings through it (not just technique). Uhm, small mistake here.. Andy did not write this song, he simply re-arranged it. This is "Eu Sei Que Vou Te Amar" by the brazilian composers Tom Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes.
