I wanna see it on a helicopter with a manual collective and cyclic XD
Where is the code of the first demonstration please ????
Amazing! Fun to see all the updates :)
Literally scouring the Internet for any news relating to that video.
Why is this trending?
@ivorjawa I want to know if he survived. Keeps popping up here and there from time to time from different people, and each time I think: "I really hope that guy's still alive."
@@pantherapardus1398 you’ve got the wrong CWMG. I’m referring to a guy in my apartment complex in Alameda, CA about 8 years ago. One of those big luxury cruising bikes, always playing Careless Whisper loudly as he left the garage.
@ivorjawa Oh I see.
searching, and finding nothing...😕
How do you control it?
Mostly like a helicopter. Math is all pretty much the same, except the disk isn’t fixed over a center. I’ve got standard helicopter controls with some switches to govern whether the platform moves as a flat plane, or in spherical or cup-shaped motion.
cool!
Nice
lego is cool good job
lego is coo, good job
neat
Do you have a source code?
I looked, I can’t find it. I don’t even remember if it was an HDL I used or a state machine built with schematic capture.
@@ivorjawa awwww man..thank you so much for the answer anyway
@@anisakaric5130 Here’s someone doing the same thing and explaining it better than my code would. www.instructables.com/How-to-Control-a-Stepper-Motor-With-an-FPGA/
Thank you so much for the help,i truly mean it@@ivorjawa
Very cool! Thanks for using Pybricks!
that's actually really cool
Very cool! I subscribed to your channel. Are you building a new helicopter around this?
Not building a full helicopter (with this model), just learning how to model them.
i wood like to do the fings that you do but i do not have enough lego motors
Nice work! What project is this for?
Just wanted to learn how rotorheads work, mathematically. Full explanation here: github.com/ivorjawa/rotorhead/blob/master/RotorHead.ipynb
nice
This is awesome!!
Hello, I could see that the project is many years old, do you remember which pins are the ones with + and - in the voice coil, thank you very much.
It’s a coil. It doesn’t matter.
I mean, I’m literally using a Lego train controller here to go from +9v to -9v.
@@ivorjawa Either of the 2 pins of the voice coil are + and -?. I have a PC source for the voltage. 5v or 12v?
@@omnia_tempus_habent yeah, it’s just an electromagnet. Positive voltage it goes one way, negative goes the other. 12v should be fine. Like motors, the voltage is really only limited by the resistance of the wire and dielectric breakdown of the insulation.
Yuri
Can it strafe with the wheels?
It can but not with the line follower program. With a controller I’ve got it set up sort of like a helicopter.
😂
thanks for updates

5.8 GHz video isn’t great
wow
Very cool you earned a sub can you also put a link to the code in the desc. thank you!
It’ll be a while before the code is clean enough for public consumption.
thank you @@ivorjawa
@@antek9702 I’ll put something up on GitHub fairly soon I hope.
fun.
If the bottom of the legs looked like a half elipse(or elyps idk) it wouldve been better also if the robot had something that will hold it up prevent the body from spinning it wouldve been a lot better
I love your cat 😍😍😍😍😍
a rather old video. would this be a step in the direction of a smart power strip?
Pretty sure it was to drive an electric frying pan I was using as a reflow plate. Had a thermocouple glued to it with RTV silicone. Fun project.

Where did the Omni Wheels come from?
Sparkfun. Might be difficult to get ahold of right now. www.sparkfun.com/products/15536
Hi man. The part that hold your wheel ( wheel hub). The Wight one. Do you know item cat number? Or set you got it from ? Thanks.
I’m pretty sure I got those wheels in the original 1998 Mindstorms set.
The wheel part number is 2903. www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=2903&idColor=1#T=S&C=1&O={"color":1,"iconly":0}
@@ivorjawa thank you mate. Cool part
I ask about other part, the wight one for the steering. Sory if my english is not that perfect 🤦. I guess its come together with that set.
@@yuvallegomotorized oh, that’s from the 1988 8865 Test Car set. www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=2737&idColor=1#T=S&C=1&O={"color":1,"iconly":0}
1. The turning line (near the wheels) doesn't go through th cardan turning point. This cause stress in the suspension. This suspension is not good for front wheel drive. 2. No differential, so it can't handle the different speed meanwhile turning.
There is an independent motor for each wheel. The differential is the microcontroller.
@@ivorjawa Can the microcontroller handle the different speed meanwhile turning?
@@Pales27 look up torque vectoring.
Its cool, but slowly

Is that set from lego or other brand look like lego (I mean "mindstorms") ? The electronic parts is not look like lego
Mindstorms is lego.
@@ivorjawa well, I never know about it, thank ya
Can you make instructions ? Pls 🥺🙏
Everything interesting about this build can be inferred from looking at that joint hard enough. I don’t like the way this one turned out; I’ll post something better once I get the steering worked out, and I’ll post instructions for that.
