Question for you, I'm 6 ft 2 and 300 lb. You mentioned that you're 300 lb as well, any problems with the suspension bottoming out at all? Thank you very much. By the way, can you adjust those foot pegs, don't you need also the suspension rods? I thought I read that on their website. And if you were to go for the tall setting, because I'm 6 ft 2, you would need a longer extension rod.

Did you ever get any problems by just using the same rod for a different length? I have the extended reach but I want the medium, i don't want to purchase the rod, so doing what you did would be perfect, but i want to know if you noticed anything different after that.

This is Rural Willys with Chevrolet Opala engine 😆😆😆😆

I got mine off my Ford Edge by sawing the end off , leaving just the inner sleeve. Then cutting through the bottom of the sleeve with a sawsall which allow me to drive a chisel in and bend the bottom of the sleeve up inside itself which loosened it enough to be able to drive the thing out of the receiver with a big chisel and a club hammer . Took a couple of hours but better than pulling the rear end off !

Thanks. I'm about as medium/average as you can get, and when I got my '23 from the dealership, they had set everything up as "medium" before they put it on the floor. It's good, but the '70-ish Honda CB750 that I had in Japan had the footpegs more under the butt, which made it easy to put weight on them, or even stand up on them, to lower the CG for low-speed maneuvers. The position of the Vulcan's pegs is more like sitting in a straight chair, and I would like to move them back as far as they will go. Now I know how.

Don't use an impact though. Gears in the jack are too hard and could break and shear

I was stuck on the side of the road with this same issue today. I didn't have tools to take the switch apart so I hit it a few punches and it started. This is after an hour of my trying everything else and even calling a mechanic friend to come help.
