I met a rock star that talked to me one day. I was at the tri rail station, the Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood station. He talked and preached to me about how I should not be like he became. He lost everything he earned by enjoying the money he made while his band was hot. I was completely unaware about the new me was being born from big hitters.

This was a good interview. I liked how the interviewer allowed David and Jeff to do the talking. Too many interviews are taken up with the host waxing lyrical to the sound of their own voice. David Ellefson has a sensational singing voice. More of his vocals would be amazing to hear on new music. Jeff just played his ass off in Australia last week, and his stage sound is second to none. Only Udo Dirkschneider’s rhythm guitarist has a comparable stage sound. Jeff loved the stage in Australia, you could tell from his performance. David too. Thank you to the host for a fabulous interview. Keep it up. 👍🏻

Mate, their performance last week in Australia was nuclear. As a band they’re so tight. The KIMB and PSBWB tracks shone, as did Train of Consequences. These guys are on fire, make sure you see them if they swing through your neck of the woods. Truly unforgettable experience.

Nobody loves Montrose more than me! I bought his first album the day it came out. I've seen both Montrose (without Sammy unfortunately) and Gamma. I can play any Montrose song on guitar, but... Ronnie's career was uneven. He was always moving ahead, but often left his audience behind. He also went thru drummers and singers too quickly. To me this is why Montrose's albums after the first one weren't as strong. You can't forge successful musical liaisons and collaborations if you're constantly clashing with and/or firing your bandmates! Gamma also started out good as well, but then same thing happened... he started firing band members again and Gamma was soon dropped by their label. It's unfortunate that Ronnie couldn't enjoy his previous work as he always wanted to move on to something new, but when your new stuff don't jive with listeners, then you should go back to what you made you famous!

That was a time in English blues rock circle where the musicians would rotate in and out of bands after a couple of albums. I would say Savoy Brown, Fleetwood Mac and John Mayall's Bluesbreakers were good examples of this. Although the Simmonds, Peverett, Stevens, Earl Savoy Brown lineup (with Youlden early on) was great. And later Peverett, Stevens and Earl, who departed, with Rod Price in Foghat, smoked the sound system when playing live.
