All That God,
You are our battle axe in times of war;
The mighty fortress that keeps in the good
And keeps out the bad;
The fresh water that calms, heals and restores;
The one who stands between us and our enemies
As we attempt to move toward peaceful coexistence;
The thump on our forehead that reminds us
To think before we act;
That voice within that convinces us
To offer the same grace to others
That we have received from you.
Please be all of that and more
So that we can stop studying war
And begin to live in ways that allow
All of creation to thrive
So that your will is done in every space and place. ~
