If I'm going out alone, I always text someone where I'll be riding. I even send live location sharing so they can see right where I am. @@B-LeeRides I’m not saying replace the RS660. I still love that bike. I would still have it if I didn’t have all the electrical issues. Definitely test ride a 2025 ZX6R if possible. It’s a great bike. The only things I miss from the RS660. Is the auto blipper and the comfortable seat… the seat I have solved by ordering a Saddlemen GP V1 seat. Other than that. I’m loving this bike as well. It also comes with the Diablo Rosso tyres. Which is a bonus.

@@B-LeeRides oh I forgot to mention the one thing I don’t miss from the RS660… it’s the vibration that you feel in your hands from the parallel twin.

@ExtremaRider what about the riding position? Before I bought mine, I sat on just about everything and nothing even compared to how comfortable the 660 was. Im talking bar height and geometry of the riding position on a sport bike. How's the zx?

@@B-LeeRides To be 100% honest. You definitely need to test ride one yourself. As I don’t know your height, weight. I am a short light weight rider. But in saying that. The riding position is more aggressive. As the bars are lower but so is the tank height… and tank Width is more rider friendly. And even as a short guy (about 5’9” not sure as we use cm and meters) So easier to ride at higher speeds. As you can tuck right in to the bike. Especially since the seat has so much room to move. I feel more free in the way I can move the bike around beneath me. Oh and there’s no vibration from the twin. So my hands are lovings it

The Extrema is a fantastic bike. The twins are actually out performing 4’s these days. The RS660 is by far the best all round sports bike. It’s torque and HP is balanced well for everyday commuting and track days. Now I have the new ZX6R. It’s not as comfortable but damn… it’s so much fun to ride.

@ZXChrisR14 me too.. I honestly like being a little underpowered. You have to make up for it with skill..

Oh yeah, I can see Howell Mountain Rd feeling like 9 for sure. I was actually right next to Skaggs this weekend. A few of us went all the way up the coast on Hwy 1. Then we heard that Skaggs was beat up so didn't end up riding it. I'm so spoiled with all these super smooth, amazing roads that I only want to ride the best now. I know there's a lot of hype around Skaggs. What's your opinion on it?

@@B-LeeRides I loved riding Skaggs, unfortunately due to health issues I don't ride as much as I used to, and I no longer ride track. So I can't really comment about the condition of Skaggs, but I will say this, the last few times out there a good portion of the road was covered in tar snakes.

@@djnickpeters Oh, Im sorry about your health. Yeah that's how it was described to me on Saturday as well. A ton of tar snakes which isn't always bad. One day I'll get on it. Thanks for the comment man. Love to hear it.

Thanks! It's funny, I've heard this exact struggle a few times now. I get it. For me, it came down to the gloss paint on this one and the exhaust. If you want loud exhaust go with the base model and upgrade. It's not very loud, but it does sound better than the base. I had the dealer start them up side by side and then I was sold on this one.

@@B-LeeRides Keeping i t now, Trade in price was 8.5k only had the bike 3 months paid 11k. Just bought a WR450F so that will keep me amused over the winter.

@Inline3speedy I hear ya. My bike likes the tight stuff on Hennessey, but there's a couple butter-smooth sweepers at Berryessa that are so good too. I rode Howell Mountain one time on the way out to Clear Lake, but I'm definitely doing that again. That's one to do a few runs up and back for sure.

What issues you had mate, mines rattles on start up for a few seconds untill the oil reaches the top end, also engine noise pulling clutcth in and out.

@@muzza6047 yeh. That is pretty standard. I had never ending electrical issues. Continuously going back under warranty until it got too much for my patience. Looks like I’m going back to a Japanese bike.

@@B-LeeRides yeh mate, it was still under warranty. The problems started 3 weeks after I got it. I think I’ve changed my mind about the GSXR. Think I’ll be getting the 2025 ZXR6R instead of the Suzuki.

If the channel would take off a little more I would put more into the videos. I had plans to do drone shot follows and all kinds of stuff but I'm not going to put all that work in if no one will even see it. Comments like yours keep me going though. Thanks again.

​@@B-LeeRidesUnfortunately Skyline Boulevard from Highway 84 to Highway 9 is kind of crappy and he’s getting worse. Lot’s of sunken asphalt in corners. Noticed it this weekend and had a few butt clencher moments. Be wary!

Where’d you start from? I’m based in the East Bay (concord, Walnut Creek area) that’s where I’d be starting. Looking for all the best routes to the coast!!

@JohnBhaktul thanks! Sure.. GoPro 11 mounted on my chin (custom mount I made) filming in Hyperview, which gives you that super wide perspective. And GoPro 8 facing rear, filming in superview, which is the widest view that camera has.

@@B-LeeRides Yeah I think the custom mount is the ticket - those 2 metal prongs coming out of your helmet - great idea. It gives us an amazing view over the windscreen. A GoPro huh - I have head so many issues about them over heating. I am glad it is working!

i grew up in felton 🙂 zayante is quite a fun road to take at a relaxed pace, its a one lane road but very remote, no cellphone service ^^

please consider remove the names of those other roads. 9 is already littered with cars wrecking haha. Lets keep the newbies in one avoidable location.
