Thanks this is so cute.
I love this idea
Always subcut when u can!
Safety pins are very helpful in the sewing room! Have a great weekend and Merry Christmas!❤
Thank you! You too!
thanks for making your videos - there's always new learners to help. Another idea is that I have pushed the pin thru one end of a plastic straw with the webbing/elastic/ribbon. :)
This is brilliant! Thank you!
Glad you liked it!
Thank you! I enjoy your tutorials. They are explained well and easy to follow.
Yes please!!
My learning method: do it the hard way, make a bunch of mistakes, then learn the better way.
That’s how I’ve been doing it for years to! 💞
The $1,400 range is about right for that quality ❤. Or more. Custom work would be extra
Does the glue cause any stains or does the iron completely dry it off. I’m assuming it would wash off
I’ve never had issues as it’s washable :)
I work in Australia doing sewing jobs. At $30AUD an hour. As an experienced tradesperson with 50 years of sewing knowledge im not prepared to undersell myself. Minimum wage is around 18 per hour as an example. We pay people 30 an hour to wash dishes. Why would you give your time away for free unless you are gifting to close family members? Excellent video, raising awareness of creators designers and makers true worth.
I have used glue also.
Do you find it helps?! ❤
Amazing ❤
Plus the cost of the fabric.
Thanks! I just subscribed because your content is of use to me. PS: what a very nice quilt!
Thanks for subbing!
I always thought a quilt was made with scrap fabric. Never expected the material alone to be more than $300. Personally, I guess I’d be willing pay like 500 for a handmade quilt. Probably up to 200 if it’s store bought. Then again, I guess that’s why I don’t own a quilt 😂

The last king size I "did" (110x110) was over $400 in fabric alone, and partway through I absolutely HATED it 😅. One day I'll find a use for the fabric squares I cut out.
Some are made with scraps :) all just depends
SO CUTE! I'm a Tigger fan myself❤❤❤
Yes you are right. If the people who have asked me would flip if they saw this. I don't piece quilts anymore for anybody. I just do quilt design with my long arm and they think that's crazy too. 😩
Ive seen non quilters think a bed size will just be $100 😮😮😮😅😅😅😅
@@MaggieLamphearthat's just a set of sheets only in Australia
Yep your right. ❤ quilter
❤❤
You explained this process so well. You make it look so easy!! Thank you!!❤❤❤
Thank you for watching ❤
Hold on now. Where is the beginner quilting playlist like on TikTok 👀
I’m glad I saw this video, I plan on sewing a quilted kindle cover for my aunt. I have never tried quilting but I’m excited to . I love the fabric you used; very beautiful and so colorful.
My mind is blown thank you
Hey, what a great block. Thanks so much ❤❤❤
I just wish ya'all would tell the SIZE.
curious why do you say "quarater inch" but also "three fourths inch"? Is this an American dialect thing
Holy cow! I've never heard of this. Great video... thank you!! ❤❤❤
Great explanation! Thanks! ❤
Your videos are so clear and concise. I hope you keep making them!! ❤
Please don't cut towards your arm on case it slips. Newbies may be watching
Yes! Seeing this after the fact I was like UGH yikes!
I can’t find part 3, the basting part. Please help!
Ugh sorry about that! TH-cam keeps automatically putting my shorter videos in the “shorts category” so that’s where it is !
Great technique
Thank you!
I've never seen that corner squaring method. 😮 I like it!!!!
Glad you like it!
You make it look so simple and doable :) I’m gonna finally try this evening 😵💫 Wish me luck
You got this!
Excellent design features 👌
Gorgeous❤
I am sorry but you did not cut a 7 3/4 " square but a 7 1/2 " square. What would be the right size? ❤
Oh my goodness! 7.75” is the accurate cut you’ll want to make. Thank you!
Can’t believe I did that! 😅😅😅 it all turned out ok after trimming I guess. Oops.
@@MaggieLamphear I am glad it turned out well at the end. its a beautiful quilt!
I'm going to try it I'm excited ❤
As much as I don't like reading the instructions, I do it anyway. Saves me from having a date with jack.😊
Do I need 12 different fat quarters?
Up to you! You’ll want at least 2 colors
This is great! I imagine you'd have to do different dimensions for a sandwich loaf rather than a round/sourdough loaf. If you know those, could you share them? Or make another short video on how to make one for a sandwich loaf?
Well *THIS* I can sew!! 👍 And it'll look nicer than the tea-towel I normally use for my bread LOL 😄
Each side should have wrap n zap. One is ok for a bowl of Icecream, but not the micro wave. Everything has to be microable. There are microwave instructions on the wrap n zap.
It also makes it easier to get all the seams and corners to line up nicely
It’s called a min charm. Charm packs are 5” and mini is 2.5”. Great video! I’m teaching a 13 year old how to sew and quilt. This would be a great project for her, she could make them as Xmas gifts! Thanks😊 Have you tried using a clapper for ironing difficult areas, you could slide it in and iron!
And a pretty combination of colors
