School is a thing that should not be, neither for"ordnary" children, nor kids with adhd. Children are supposed to play all day, not reading mathematics and foreign languages for hours. Leave the kids alone!

Around half of Dyslexics have Dyspraxia. How come there is no genetic research about the co-morbidity between Dyslexia and Dyspraxia? Looking at coordination-related genes in connection to Dyslexia would make a lot of sense.

As someone with dyslexia, I commend you for the work you are doing to help dyslexics, Jamie. However, I get very nervous when people start talking about changing dyslexic brains. I firmly believe that dyslexics brains are more than fine just the way they are.

Once somebody told me to explain what it felt like to be a kid in school with dyslexia and this is what I said. I might have borrowed this from a Tiktok btw. Imagine one of your parents gets a new job halfway across the world. So you move there and In this country, nobody speaks your language. Your in a classroom with teacher that are talking to you in what feels like Chinese and you are not able to understand anything that happens in that classroom. Your teacher shouts at you and tells you your stupid. If you get bad grades in your class, is it because your stupid or it’s not in your language. When you have dyslexia, you brain speaks it own unique Nerological language. My friend reacted: whoa bruhhhh, I’ll try to speak ur language more. Share that dyslexic love!!!

It is a fascinating interview. Mr. Luqman has found through his teaching experience, he got to the root cause of the ''shut-down kids'' phenomenon, the so-called 'dyslexia'. The western scholars were talking about ''phonological awareness deficit'' which basically puts the blame on kids' inability to learn the sounds of letters. What caught the attention of Luqman is that it is not true but that the teachers were teaching the sounds of letters wrongly in the first place. Once the kids were taught the sounds of letters correctly, without extraneous sounds, they learnt to read the English language with ease. Well done Luqman! Hope many more parents will benefit from your Blog on 'Dyslexia friends' and 'Shut-down' kids'.
