This was the driver's first ever laps on this track. Thankfully, over 14 hours throughout the weekend, fractions of a second don't matter, lol. this is not sprint racing.

Thanks! It is very competitive, especially the S model. I highly recommend SCDA for driver training- It was the only way I could get on to the track as a 15 year old. The instruction is amazing and you will learn a lot about how to handle your car.

These engines are high performance machines- they are actually tuned perfectly in this video. The smoke you see in the beginning is due to lack of warmth in the engine and combustion chamber. You can see as the race goes on, you no longer see any blue smoke(how most 2-stroke engines run). In the Pre-Final for this race, the engine was actually much too lean by the end of the race but still smoked on the grid. Thanks for the comment, hope this helped!

Don't worry. Electric is the future. Gas powered cars are being phased out and eventually it will make it's way to karting.

These engines will not always be the front line of karting forever. With an unbiased point of view-gasoline/alcohol powered motors will likely lead karting for many years to come.
