Hello
Living with ME or rather M.E is a channel that will share with you personal experience of coping strategies and day to day life with illness that takes it's toll. Hopefully together we can be encouraged to look at our illness as an opportunity rather than a drag. There will be videos on life style and beauty tips for the poorly person and also honest accounts from carers. There will also be useful hints and tips and a lot of laughs ( yes people we can still have joy even in our suffering!) there will be good days and bad days but we'll go through them together.

Cast all your cares on Him. He cares for you. Amen!
Think I might already have the book though! It's really good, thank you. A blessing to my soul.
Maybe it takes some of you 2 minutes to wash your hair, but for me, with long straight hair, it’s more like half an hour, with all the scrubbing and rinsing. I started using a combing technique while living in an RV with a very small water heater, and no heater in the shower area. I just didn’t want to take showers more than necessary because I would get chilled, and it was hard to get the shampoo and conditioner washed out before running out of hot water. Instead, I would do sponge baths at the sink, and brush and comb my hair, delaying having to take a shower as long as possible. The combing technique really does get the itchy stuff off your scalp and remove that sticky greasy feeling from the hair. I didn’t use cornstarch, so that wasn’t the cause. It’s just dried sweat, which is salt, oils and dead skin, lint, and dirt/pollen/whatever’s in the air. I went 3 months without taking a shower once. Once we got a house, I was out of the habit of showering a lot, and now it’s 1 to 2 weeks, depending on the weather. I do like the way it feels when I’ve just washed it, but I usually don’t want to spend time on it, and I do enjoy brushing and combing my hair. I can see how it might not be pleasant or practical for someone with very curly or nappy hair, though.
just found you. i am looking forward to the book
Hallelujah!
hello. i have both m.e and fibromagyia,mark
Hey this was a timely video for me right now I am looking into finding a new pill/ tablet box. And finding this video in my subscription feels like God thing. Thanks so much for this video and the other videos. Stay strong in the fight against Chronic fatigue it can be a hard battle sometimes. But God is with us. And it's okay to not be okay sometimes as well. Blessings - Johanna

I love your accent! I like experimenting with water and natural haircare
Can I ask you a question
Of course if it’s a sensible one
❤❤❤❤❤
Gosh I love that accent
Congratulations on the new book, it looks great! I'm going to pop over to Amazon and take a better look. I've only just found your channel and so forgive me if I'm not up to date with where things are with your health. I saw a video from 3 yrs ago where you were explaining about life when you're feeling better/after ME and then one close to it where I think you're describing POTS? I wanted to ask if there was anything specific that created your improvement then in ME, especially re the fatigue? Has that been permanent or has the fatigue part now returned. Very best wishes and I think it's great that you've put energy into producing such a useful book for people x
Thank you so much and welcome I would say my fatigue is much less which is the main thing that makes me think this isn’t ME again but something else… I might do a video on it soon.
Such a great idea, it would be so much more motivating to use than the boring pdfs that the doctors send. So exciting to see you’re making videos again, too!
Thank you… I am using mine already and it’s so helpful
Hi Linving how are you doing hun mine name is Kyle it nice to meet you!🥰🥰😘🥰
Thanks for sharing, hope you're doing well
Thank you for sharing this. It may not have much views rn but atleast one person would've heard your voice. I hope your doing well, keep going!
Oh my goodness it’s DELIGHTFUL! I would liiivvvee in that haha.
Hee hee… I’ve already bought 2 more and have bids on two other blankets!!!
Nice. It would be cool if you could control the phone with a handheld device too so you don't have to reach up and press the screen. Not for typing but just like a cursor on screen that you can move and simulate screen taps. Just enough to navigate TH-cam without moving your arns.
Le naturel est quand même plus intéressant viens me voir bel ange
Happy Birthday!!
You could start doing rinses instead of shampoo. Rice water, coconut water, etc.
Well the whole point is to not have to cope with wet hair etc so thanks for the tip but I will continue with this… it works for me
You’ve got a spot of blue paint on your nose.
Hee hee I know! If you watch the whole video I even acknowledge it! It’s gone now (washed off in time for Sunday!)
Wet hair with warm water in the shower then pour jug of warm water and 1 tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda stirred into the jug of warm water over your hair and rub your scalp with your fingers concentrating on rubbing the bicarb solution to the roots then rinse in shower and finally, pour 1 cup of water water mixed with a capful of apple cider vinegar over your hair then rinse under the shower and voila, all done.
So for me this works… the whole idea is not to have to worry about drying the hair etc..
Wow looks awesome! This looks very similar to my mother's wheelchair, she's very ill, so she doesn't get out much, but I think il try this on her chair to give her a smile. 😊. I love all your videos. Sending you love from Lancashire ❤
Thank you.. oh do I am sure she will love it!!!! It truly makes a difference
We went outside today… it really shines and sparkles in the sunshine! Hoping it will make others smile and for those of your with chairs hopefully this shows you it doesn’t have to be expensive and difficult to create a chair you are happy to say is yours!!!!!
I love the colour you chose for your wheelchair. The sparkles make it even better. I love the colour blue, but my favourite is bright orange. XXXXX
Looking at your fingers u look like u have hyper mobility - my daughters have it EDS type that can also cause some of the things you are saying and POTts . You may already know all that! I have fibromyalgia as one of my many but I kind of ignore that as my Lupus overshadows it . I am 48 and have been house bound for almost 20 years and now have home care. Good luck to you and although I’m not up to painting my wheel chair - I’m going to spray my crutches! 😂
Interesting.. my husband thinks so too.. what is it about my fingers please I’m intrigued
@@LivingwithME247 I call it witchy fingers - with love, how they shape when moving , they hyper extend! Just compare with others - see what you think xx
@@bexparker8720 oh that’s so interesting, I thought I was just elegant! Tee hee
You’re so beautiful, I just found your channel and then saw that you have ME😓 I am so sorry girl. Your voice is so gorgeous. Stay strong, I am so sorry for the suffering 😞You clearly deserve so much joy.
oh thank you that’s very kind, I actually don’t have ME anymore but I have recently been back in a wheelchair etc as I have this weird passing out thing that is fairly debilitating I also have had a flare up of endometriosis so I am pretty much either in bed or on the sofa! I do have joy though deep down as hopefully you will see from the video I am just uploading
Hello everyone, I have just posted a real time video of this method with less talking… you’re welcome
Hello everyone, just posted a real time video of this method with less talking!
So good to have you back! I suscribed for the medieval hair method and I'm still on it also, it's a lifesaver! So thank you so much for sharing it.
Oh you are so very welcome, delighted you have found it so good!!! It really is amazing how it works isn’t it!
I have a degree in english but I have a SERIOUS troubles to understand what she say 🤷🏻♂️
To be honest ur English doesn't seem to b of such a high level. I understand her just fine. Her English is not bad at all
Shiny, bouncy hair that smells like flowers, I am trying this! I already started using rye flour to wash my hair with. So next step would be washing it less often and using my natural oils to coat the hair shaft. I actually bought a natural boar bristle brush and a wooden comb for this purpose. Ditching shampoo is amazing for the scalp, no more greasiness, itching and flakes.
Great!!!
I have been doing this now for 7 years and my hair has never felt so good… never using shampoo ever again!
I would add that it is important to use the combination of a wooden comb (both fine tooth and wide tooth) to detangle and remove dirt and dandruff, and use a boar bristle brush to absorb and distribute/ pull the hair serum (natural scalp oil) down to the rest of the hair shaft. The whole saying of 100 strokes with a brush a day was done using a boar bristle brush to fully clean and remove excess serum or oils from the scalp and hair. Make sure to clean the brush each day to remove the serum and oils from previous night. I notice a huge change at how my hair looks and feels. It is thicker, shiner and silkier after I do the comb and brush hair washing method. I only wash once a month with water due to coloring my hair. I am slowly turning gray naturally so just dye my hair silver to just embrace it; plus I can save on shampoo because I could just pomade and powder my hair like 18th century ladies did. I feel that there is a conspiracy with hair washing using those harsh commercial products. We were lied to, so they can profit off on the insanity. PS: Like you, I too noticed that I don't experience excessive oily scalp as before. I can go longer weeks without washing. It is almost to the point of going two whole months without washing. Again, we were lied to. We were told that our European hair texture needs to be washed more often than black women hair, but that is a lie. ALL hair is made of the same keratin, regardless of texture, keratin hates water. Protein breaks down more in water. So the no-shampoo method benefits all texture.
Great tips, thank you 😊
You’re welcome, hope they help

I've been doing this for some time now with good results
Hooray! It’s so good isn’t it!
Just come across your video your channel very helpful I’ve been given a orange powder which trust me does not work so what I’ve started doing eating lots of fruit Kiwis oranges at least two a day and grapes as well at 10 so I’m quite a lot
I really enjoyed this video. You're really sweet and it felt like a friend or sister explaining it to me!
Oh thank you that’s nice to hear
I loved this! You could add essential oils to the cornstarch to get a nice smell on your hair too. Or even mix it with cinnamon. I've been watching videos about historical hygiene methods. An interesting thing is that women who washed their hair less, also could grow it extremely long. I mean, floor length. Of course, they would keep it clean with dry methods, like combing, and use braids.
Hello this is me but just using my other channel… I don’t mix anything with the starch as that can make it gooey and horrid instead if I want to make my hair smell extra nice I simply put a couple of drops of essential oil into my hands and rub them until they are dry and then pull my fingers through my hair and massage my scalp. But honestly once your hair gets used to it it will smell lovely anyway… the only time I do the essential oils is if I have been cooking over open flame outside and that’s just to get rid of the Smokey smell.
For me, baths and showers (including washing my hair, which is relatively short tbf) are my biggest relaxation time. I consider it the purest form of self care I know how to do, as doing it cares for myself both physically and mentally. Which that being said, I have always had very oily hair and skin, and as I’ve gotten older, I’ve learned more and better techniques to make the most of it. Oil-free face moisturizers so my skin doesn’t over-compensate for dryness by producing extra oils, for example. Sulfate-free shampoos. This technique I think will really help me between washes, because as much as showers are practically ritual ablution at this point, it can get difficult to take care of myself sometimes.
i enjoyed watching, thank you for your ideas
Your hair looks better than the actors’ in shampoo commercials
Thank you, it’s seriously all thanks to this method, I’m still doing it and it very much works
Scraping your scalp sounds satisfying but is probably causing micro abrasions
No plastic comb. Use wood or horn.
You are lovely. Thank you for the videos. In this video, that aloe vera you're using ... did you happen to find a brand that doesn't have many preservatives in it, and/or one you that you just particularly love? I can use fresh aloe, but it would be nice to find something pre-made with a little more shelf life. (While a little off topic for this video, can you tell me if you're still doing the medieval-combing-and-no-shampoo technique and whether you still like it? I just watched that video today, and comments are turned off on it, but so fascinating.)
Hello the aloe Vera I got from Amazon Sorry I don’t think this is a link but that is what you should type in… it is 99% aloe and it’s wonderful
The reason the comments are turned off is that some people were starting to attack each other and have their only time in the comments and I thought it wasn’t good… but I will open them up again as I know people have lots of questions…. I am still using the combing method and my hair feels lovely
@@LivingwithME247 Oh, no worries, I wasn't criticizing the decision. I just wanted to explain why I was commenting on that video on this video. :) Thanks for replying and totally wonderful to know you're still using the method, it's still working!
Hello again, still using the combing method and it’s brilliant… as far as aloe goes I use a food grade aloe Vera that way there are no additional ingredients
Hey, in your other video about this you mentioned you got this idea from a documentary. Do you remember what it was called ?
It is called on the monestary farm it is a history documentary which just happens to mention it and I tried it and it works.
@@LivingwithME247 Thank you
does it only numb the area that the cream is put in? or the whole area surrounding?
Sorry for the late reply.... it only numbs the area it touches
Hi, I know this is an old video but does it completely take sensation away? Like can you feel anything? Im trypanophobic and I have my first covid vax next tuesday. kinda terrified... thank you!
Hello, it pretty much takes the sharp scratch of the needle but you would have to research whether it can be used for vaccines as I think the site needs to be clean.... maybe ring up and ask? Hope it goes ok x
@@LivingwithME247 Thank you so much! I will update the comment after I have had my first dose. Im still in school so we rang the school nurse and she said its fine and they will just wipe it off when i go to the booth. Thank you!! xx
@@caitlindavidson174 Well...?
Im going to try this for a night time braid , ty ; been looking for something like this
