It was easier for the Suns to get Kevin Durant.

The Suns are trying to outlast the Heat. The Beal contract is a horror story. The Suns were hoping that the Heat would feel pressure to move off of Butler and further f-up their future. Jimmy has done nothing but half ass it the past 2 + seasons and has done nothing to deserve the Heat doing him a solid. Keep Butler on the Bench and try this summer to trade him (only if it helps our team not him).

Miami can do a deal with the bucks get porter and Middleton. A healthy Chris Middleton is better than every players in Miami except Jimmy. And with Porter..you getting a good energy player with size that’s good in the post and shoot the 3.

The Suns can pivot and do other things if Riley continues to play hard ball and be stubborn with Butler. Instead of trading him now for some value they will get nothing and have a disgruntled Butler pick up his PO and ruin the Heats season again. Riley is a terrible executive.

Now that Jimmy isn't playing I am not sure why Jaquez did not get the start versus the Bucks. Instead Spo puts in Larsson for our 16th different starting lineup when JJJ had 16 points per game in the West Coast trip and a 3-3 record without Jimmy. I don't care what people say about JJJ now because those same hypocrites will acknowledge his ability later and never regret their disrespect during his development after 1.5 years. You guys are making this complicated. Jimmy is basically saying I would only extend with the Suns. You make it seem like he saying, If you trade me to Memphis I’m not going. I believe this is the leverage of a player option and he is using. Miami is too greedy. I see why no team wants to trade with them. Miami needs to understand they are trading a player in the final year of his contract.
