you can tell by the tail length it is domestic ! not a panther !
I just wasted so much time on the internet looking for photos of these “big cats” in Australia, there is absolutely nothing but regular sized cats and you can see them next to objects like in this video a bench and still they look regular.. is it just me am I delusional or is it all these people making up mythical animals in a land where there is plenty mythical enough already
Nope.
So he didnt spot the collar then?
quite obviously if you compare it to the bench its just a normal size cat.
Just a cat. Dumb and useless video.
the tail tells u its not a big cat - perhaps a biggish house cat, but that's all
Wrong in my opinion. Walks too fast. Tail too short. Compared to the tables it walks past, too small. Sorry, no big cat, just a cat.
ups...miniature panther...not even as high as the bench...is this a joke? is people going mad?
My brother in law lives in Strathbogie, Victoria, and he has seen a black panther at a distance. He explained that he was standing on his property and was looking across to a hill, on the hill was a tree, and this panther stretched itself, placing its front paws on the tree. He later went to this tree, which was a fair distance away. He wanted to see the scale of the tree, because this cat looked the size of a panther. When he got to the tree, he realised that he was correct, that in order for the cat to reach where it did, it had to be the size of a panther. He is 100% convinced that he saw this, and has spoken to many locals who have lived in the area their entire lives. He found that the locals have also heard about many sightings of a black puma, and that it is believed that it was let loose or escaped from the American military that brought Pumas to Australia during World War Two, as their mascots. He now believes it’s a puma or a descendant of the original pumas that have bred with large feral cats. I believe him, he has no reason to lie about it, nothing to gain, he wasn’t able to get video or a photo, as he didn’t have a camera or phone with him at the time. He’s actually the kind of person that rarely carries a phone, let alone a modern one, he’s of the older generation. I believe that he saw a wild cat of some type that was so big, that it reached a part of the tree that no regular cat could reach by stretching.
Smallest panther iv ever seen come here to England you'll see real panthers on our moorlands and forest big fukrs
Poor maxy I feel.sorry for he is .a dam.good player
Well danger beat the saints of his own.boot what champion
Danger our captain love you mate
Life
Why was this sl offensive seriously get a like
Here Kitty Kitty your such cute house cat
Its so clearly a domestic/feral cat you are either completely mad or just taking the pi$$
An overfed domestic cat or a feral one. My uncle shot what he thought was a fox as he could only see its ginger tail above the long grass. Up close we found it to be a large feral ginger cat.
Ferals 💫 scram 🍖🌳🍃🦁🐱🐈🐈? 🐈⬛ 💽🐾🪽〰️ envirement 📜 🐾🐾🐈⬛ ? 🦁🐯🐆#
That’s a normal domestic cat. Look at the scale compared to the bench
🔦🌀🤗Good job mate😇👍
This aged well 🤣
It should have a longer tail if it was panter
panthers are black leopards.....they are as long as the bench in the video...and this kitty is walking under the bench without making itself smaller ;) people is going mad
Does not look that big to me. I have seen real ones in Oz.
The first thing I noticed was his extra large paws. They look very wide and round. It calls attention to his footsteps right away. When domestic cats mix with bobcats, the kittens are born with (deformed feet) 6-7 toes and... sometimes also... a short stub tail. Next I noticed his tail was not as long in perportion to his body as a jaguar, cheata, lion, tiger, cougar, snow leopard, etc. He doesn't look similar to the jaguarundi either because jaguarundi has a disproportionately small head like the cougar and an extra long tail like all big cats. The cat in this video, his tail did not even reach the ground. It walks with it's head erect while looking around. Big cats like jaguars walk with their heads approximately level with their body and lift rheir head up when they stop, pause or look around. Lastly in comparison with the picnic table if it was a jaguar, his head and body alone would have been the length of it and his shoulders would have been no less than the height of it. There are also very large Maine Coon cats that have domestic colorations due to cross breeding. But they are no where near the size of a big cat, nor a pic-nic table height or lenght. From the looks of the surroundings behind you, pines, rocks, beach, it's a domestic/bobcat mix due to it's give-away (inherited deformed feet) extra toes.
I agree, the first thing I noticed were the large disproportionate paws. You see them in large dog breeds as puppies growing up. I'll guess this cat is not fully grown and a feral hybrid of some sort and not a panther.
The Americans used them as mascots during the Second World War, left them behind to go wiled, when the War was over !
but here u see small cat walking under the bench hahahahah
I had to check the date to see if this was an April Fools joke - clearly by size relative to common objects such as the park bench at 0:30 , this is just a feral or even large domestic cat. Even if you look at the speed of the gait - the legs are moving too fast to be a "big cat"...
Nope.
It's called a feral cat. They are big. A feral cat. Not a Panther. Sorry mate
Should have cut the mayor of Geelong’s comments. Drop kick. Money & left field
I wish the cleaner from StKilda would go to Geelong and bring back their secrets.
Lost the pine trees at Mt Macedon, loved them in the snow.
Looking forward to the race this weekend!
I've watched a black leopard and it definitely didn't move like this one, even sits like a moggy and not any big cat.
This guy is absolutely convinced, imagine how many other times this happens and especially when you have no strong reference points in the footage.
incredible...he has that videos of a small cat under a bench...and thinks it is a what? a panther/leopard or what? People is so far from nature and quiet getting mad...
Those paws are to small. A panther is a Marvel cartoon character. Its either melanistic leopard or a melanistic jaguar. It's too small to be a Jaguar as they have massive Heads. And tail is to short to be a leopard. I think this old fella is off his meds.
He _knows cats!!_ .. he said. He's from Africa! 🤭 Clearly he hasn't met a beautiful male Bombay (in fact, my FEMALE even) which are more muscular than most cats and are known for being 'bricks in velvet', & funny enough.... they are also literally known as the Parlour/House *Panther* !! The tail is nowhere near as long as a (black) leopard would have. And _I_ know cats! And I was born in Australia! 😅✌️
Australia definitely has big cats, too.
Finch ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Are people so gullible to think that's a Panther, it's clearly just a domestic cat.
