is right just for that tractor.. i pulled a 28 ft 496 for years with a mfwd 4850 until i hooked it to the case.. lawd!!
how good did your tractor pull it
Willie Huggins the 4850 pulled the disk in 9th gear at 5.8 mph all day long no problems. The 7140 case in mfwd pulled the same disk in 10 gear at 6.3 mph and was better on fuel
Willie Huggins but both of those tractors are long gone. Now we have a JD 4960 and case ih 7250
deangelo pack case has a faster gear ratio
The 4850 had 20.8 r 38s on the rear vs the case had 20.8 r 42s on the read. Those few inches in tire height makes a difference as well
