I like your reactions to LP. I’m 71 and found them 2 years ago. Music is super important to me as I grew up in what I believe is the golden age of music and love so many artists from the Beatles to Zeppelin, Allman Bros, Pink Floyd, the Doors; Queen, on and on. Simply put Linkin Park is my all time favorite. Chester is the best rock artist - ever. Not only Chester’s vocals but the whole band and, as you pointed out, their lyrics are remarkable. I may have missed it but if you haven’t already reacted to them listen to In The End, Somewhere I Belong, From The Inside, Numb, Breaking The Habit, New Divide, Lost, Shadow of The Day, Burn It Down, One More Light, A Light That Never Comes, Until It’s Gone, Heavy, Guilty All The Same. Their breadth of styles is remarkable though I understand some of the fans of their first 3 albums didn’t like their change. I appreciate their willingness to explore and grow though I do like the heavier stuff best. Music is a phenomenal platform to communicate ideas and touch your soul as I found out in the late 70s when I met Christ through contemporary Christian music. It has a way of touching you, bypassing your consciousness. I just wish I had known about this band while Chester was here. Thank God for You Tube which can expose you to music you could not have experienced otherwise.
