People don’t understand what he’s about because his subject matter and the music he’s rapping to is often a lot heavier than that of his forebears, so a lot of the folks who would appreciate him as a lyricist and a rapper don’t gravitate to his music. And those who do become his fans often can’t trace back to how he got so good at rapping, because people usually got into Linkin Park from more of a rock background. Mike is great and I will sing his praises until I can longer speak or type.
