Walking Sticks
When I walk, I pick up fallen branches and turn them into walking sticks for challenged hikers, then I leave them back in the parks where they originated, at no cost. Video courtesy KSN in Wichita.

Shell M is a clear vegetable cooking oil mixed with super petrol becomes racing fuel and i have even used peanut cooking oil for racing it is clear and clean fuel for race smelling enthusiasts and the oil we use these days is very toxic smelling it is a killer when breathed in it is not enviromentally friendly like our vegetable and cooking oils we used for racing was far more cleaner than todays toxicity of chemicals are filthy killers

Twin shock aircooled fin racing like clear vegetable oil mixed with super petrol smelt more friendly fun racing the cooking oil non toxic racing oil smelt like heaven and the shell A racing fuel like ethanol was a purple fuel that felt like ice water and was used in hagon jap and weslake speedway bikes were fun smelling racing that all dirtbike heaven brought people together for miles away just to view the vintage dirtbike motocross and enduro and trials and short circuit racing on dirtbikes

I use to race that track a lot thru AMA when they held local races, I loved that track!! I started out Tacing a TM 125, I bought a kit to lay the shocks down to get more travel, you needed it there! Than I switched to a RM 250, We had such a great time racing there!!

I grew up in Austin racing 125's throughout central Tx. Great time to be 18 and racing. The final that year was at Waggaman ,La. I broke my leg on that track 4 weeks after the 125 National Finals , also had the 500 Nationals final as well there. I'm 65 now and your fine film just took me back to my world and my youth. It wasn't only about or all about $$ back then. K. Howerton (San Antonio) and S. Stackable (Austin) were our top local hero's. Thanks much for the post.

Yeah, films can do that. I was a big fan of Howerton and Stackable too. I live in Wichita, KS and made the treks to see those races. Glad you liked it.

A few years ago there was a couple of articles online that documented the 1976 125 Nationals behind the scenes. One was about Bob Hannah and Bill Buchka going to all the races together in a box van. They kept the AC off all year in the vehicle and in hotels, so they'd both be ready for the blistering hot race conditions. The other article was about Marty Smith and Dave Arnold (I think) building their own RC125 for the US Grand Prix at Mid-Ohio. The works Honda was uncompetitive and unreliable so they went about building their own race bike without Honda's knowledge. When they rolled it out of the van the Honda execs freaked out. Of course Marty went 1-1 that day. I can't find either of these two great articles and thought maybe somebody could steer me to them. They were lengthy probably an hour read all together

Today's four strokes sound like blubbering fartmobiles compared to the awesome sounding two strokes, especially when they were jetted perfectly. I still remember how crisp O'Mara's CR250 sounded at Unadilla back in 86. I was there, and that bike looked so fast that I wouldn't have been surprised if it was a 275cc bike. 🤣
