      If you are not a partner with Salesforce, you cannot try it yet. It is in closed beta. It will be in open beta soon (maybe within a month). I'd imagine it would come to partner demo/dev orgs then. If you want to try it as Salesforce customer in a prod, dev or sandbox org, you can join the open beta once it is announced as long as you have purchased at least one Einstein product. Salesforce should announce and clarify this all soon.

    Yumi - you are the best flow instructor from whom I’ve ever taken a class. I’ve been working in Salesforce for over 13 years. However, I came to flow a bit late. I’d been working at a company that used process builder mostly, and the team wasn’t comfortable moving to flow. So when I moved to another company in 2022, I dove in and crash coursed myself in flow knowing that Salesforce was retiring process builder and workflows. Needless to say, I had lots of catching up to do! I took a variety of courses on Udemy, but most instructors talk too much. I just wanted to dive in, and that’s what you did in your course. You work effortlessly, which has transferred to me now! I just needed clarification on some things, and that’s what you’ve done. My confidence has skyrocketed. Thank you!

    @salesforcebreak Andy - based on this Cautionary Tale of using the Custom Error messages in Flow, do you have any guidance or best practices on how to avoid this issue? Perhaps trying to consolidate any Custom Error messages into a single Flow if used for "validation" purposes? I would appreciate any thoughts you may have on the subject. ~ Thanks!

    • @SalesforceBreak
      @SalesforceBreak 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There are several UI pitfalls with this at the moment. Some are: 1) When you use a custom error message on the back of a record change that can be done via a path component, the message appears on top in red and disappears. You cannot control where and how it appears. 2) The messages appear in sequence. Before save, after save, and validation rules don't show up at the same time. I built many fault paths for a client and connected them to the custom error message element. They said they ended up removing all, because they wanted to see the messages by other automations/code/validations, but they could not when this design was active. I heard a few other complaints but I cannot remember all of them. I think in the future we will be able to do all this inside flow rather than inside validation rules, but we are not there yet. For now, it would be best if you could build all such errors into validations before save flows or after save flows for each object. And refrain from building flow custom error validation triggering on stage changes.

The integration requires me to do multiple POST requests and proceed based on their response. Hello Andy, I was wondering if there is a special reason as to why you made your Flow be triggered by the creation of a Case record. Would it also make sense to have had the same Flow trigger on when a a Contact is created or updated?

    • @SalesforceBreak
      @SalesforceBreak ปีที่แล้ว

      That's right. If you want to use flow as a rollup method then you will need to update on contact. Usually you need two flows: One on create/update another one on delete. In addition, this simple example illustrates a loop, but actually you don't have to loop if you are just looking for a count. You can use an assignment that says ContactCountVar euqials to the count of ContactCollectionVar.
