Why didn’t you show the back connector as well it’s 2 connector on this part
Just started to smell antifreeze in my wifes van. Doesn't look like fun, but fairly straightforward. Thanks
@@surfclod it's not that hard at all. You can do it! 💪

Thank you so much
Very welcome. Please share all you can. As the summer comes we will do a few more videos. That just may help a little more!!!
Yes, a 1959 Chevy was a sound investment. They're worth over 20× their original sticker price at the end of 2024!
If I remember correctly. The 1959 Impala was the car with the most chrome trim. For that year or more. Beautiful ride. So was the el camino
@mrpaulvoline1978 - The '58s were the GM cars with the most chrome.
@OldsVistaCruiser ok. I love all three of the body style of the 58,59 and the 1960. So beautiful
@mrpaulvoline1978 - I owned a '59 Olds 98 flattop sedan in the 1990s.
@OldsVistaCruiser nice! My friend in highschool had a 1960 El Camino. I really want a Christine car.
Im here after finding fix and maintain vid. It made me think i was searching for the wrong thing till i saw your comment and then i found this vid
I'm really glad you found my video. Hope it helped. I try to do the best I can. Happy holidays!!!
@mrpaulvoline1978 I was able to confirm the part name and diagnose that it seems to be working. Unfortunately, still haven't been able figure out why the heat isn't working
You have enough coolant?
@@mrpaulvoline1978 Yeah, I'm thinking that it's not passing through the heat core though
Ah, yes, the Rites of Passage. (My first car, in 1970, was a 1962 Impala. Very fond memories.)
My 1st vehicle was my great grandpas 1972 dodge 200 custom longbed. 72k in 1999. He bought it brand new my grandma said. Wish I had it today.

Hi, how many screws did the top cover have?
@@joshuadrinkard9092 can't remember about 4-5 of them
And 3 on the actuator
You have a video for the rear resistor?
I do not! sorry
just to add to my experience, just bought a 2004 5.3L 4x4 sierra and the temp gauge sits at 210 or just below it and doesn't really move from there. Soon after I replaced the water pump and thermostat with an 187F and replaced the clutch fan with an single elec. fan while keeping the stock oem 28.5in radiator and no fan shroud, other than the the elec. fan shroud. My aftermarket fan controller runs 20 degree cooler since its a radiator temp probe. so I have it set to kick on at 180F which the PCM obd2 reader reads at 200F. Now i never did check what the PCM temp was prior to the elec fan mod or new water pump/thermostat. As of right now my temp gauge stays at or just below 210 even tho the PCM reads 212F. the single elec fan is constantly running and doesnt cool it off enough to turn off when idling but as soon as I drive temps drop to 197-205F and 212F at idle. Is this good operating temperature for a single elec. fan?
@@joeydelmarsjr.646 I believe your right! Probably need 2 fan system on that vehicle
Definitely fun job to do. When I had my 2 fans I was way under like 170 all the time and freezing ac
@@mrpaulvoline1978 dual fan is idle but 170-180 is not optimal temp even more so buts a strain on the low amp alternator. thats why i wanna only do a single can mod, so i dont have to replace the alternator i forgot to mention that the single elec fan is 18in with a 22in shroud not enough to cover the whole 28.5 cord core. BUT i will be getting a aluminum custom shroud to see if it helps during idle temps
Feels good to save people money. Mechanic wanted $450 to replace both fans. 😮
@@ih8suvz please donate! Everything helps
I helped my brother with this job today. For the most part, it was easy, but there was that bottom connector on the ac fan. That was the only problem we had with it.
Please donate
Thanks Paul. Mine started doing this last week. I have a 2011, so I hope it’s similar to yours. I read on the socials the dash has to be removed, so this is a relief. Thanks for the content. 🏆
Let me know how it goes
You didn’t show what it was doing before so you’re really showing what is doing now it doesn’t show us anything just my opinion how much longer would have taken to show how it was running before they start the video with that right
One of my 1st videos. Sorry
Nice dog! I sell those too that’s awesome

Would also like to be your new auto maintenance person. Maybe we can meet up one day
Super helpful! Thank you!
I really appreciate it. Thank you!!!
My wife and I were just talking about missing a manual transmission with all of the control you have compared to an automatic. But we are retired now and when you get arthritic and decrepit an auto saves wear and tear on your knees and joints. Sure sucks getting old, lol.
SUCKS GETTING OLD...
Did you have a check engine code? What was the code you were getting before replacing?
We had a Humber 80 with 3 on the tree, I never driver anything but a manual until I was in my 20s ( license at 16 )
I had a 68 Chevy PU with 3 on the tree. I drove it so much that the shifter got worn out. When I shifted from 1sr to 2nd sometimes it would stick in neutral and I would have to coast over to the side of the road and lift the hood and jiggle the linkage to free it up. Then there was the time when the roll pin on the shift lever fell out when I shifted into 2nd and the lever came off in my hand. Fun times! I sometimes miss manual transmissions!😅
We think those days were so far. But we have come a long way pretty fast!!!
The "newest" vehicle I ever had with a 3 in the tree was my '71 Pontiac T-37. Eventually converted that to a Hurst floor shifter. And swapped in a 327 out of a '68 vette.
And no - in the tree, nor on the floor was hard to drive at all!
I haven't heard the name Hurst in years
Yes difficult to drive when the instructions are wrong unless it's pre select which I doubt
It's funny he didn't mention Newport or Town & Country. We had a `75 Town & Country, back in the day. What a car.
I didn't know they made t&c in 75
I didn't know they made t&c in 1975
I saw you at the end there. 😉😉 I'll be motoring about in my 63 Belair 4 door sedan, 6cyl, with the 3 on the tree, this weekend. Any old day actually, as long as no rain. 😁
63 Bel Air is a beautiful car four-door or two-door
What color is it?
@@mrpaulvoline1978 Laurel Green inside and out.
@Todd-o8n nice!
Yeah, it's called a manual transmission. If you don't know how to drive one, no matter what your age, I'll laugh at you! 🤣
If you can’t drive a stick you should not be driving.
Yeah you're probably right. My first truck was a stick 72 dodge d200 mine was beautiful
I`ve been saying that for nearly 5 decades, Sticks are way too much work!
I hear that!!!
Like the last passenger car to use a king pin front end up to 1968. Bean Counting excellence more like.
I have a 78 F 150 with 3 on the tree .
I like that body style

I had 3 on the tree 1968 Biscayne. Worst manual I ever driven. 1 gear too high burned out clutch real fast. 2 couldn't do everything it was supposed to do. Went up streep hill on the Pennsylvania Turnpike at 45 because 3 was designed for high soeed cruising and 3 too high to go up grad. Hunt between 2 and 4 in town because could be used below 30. No reason to feel nostalgic about this piece of S***. 4 soeeds much better
Yes it really was that hard in 1940 and worse now that manual transmission have 4 5 6 gears to play with. I know i have driven a 1968 Chevy Biscayne this 1940 way including nonpower steer and brakes. Plus I have driven a VW Rabbit 4 speed 5 speed Japanese cars and fot a short distance Subaru woth 6 speeds.
Non power brakes sound pretty hard against a tank

He said "release the clutch, step on the gas" - if you don't step on the gas first, it will stall. A three-on-the-tree is very simple once you get used to it. Very hard to speed-shift, though!
Double clutch. Amazing what you could do when you didn’t have a cell phone in your hand.
People that think this is difficult... Their brain would explode trying to drive a "twin or triple stick" Big Truck.... With manual steering.... Oh the old Macks and Diamond Reo's how i miss them. Those were the days 😁
Our family vacation to Europe in 1990 had us rent a Fiat Ducato minivan. It had a 4 speed on the steering column manual shifter. If you knew how to drive a manual transmission it only took a few minutes to get comfortable with shifting a column shifter.🤔
