Friend of mine delivers fuel. You do know you are getting same diesel like everyone else right? Especially if you're on East coast. All fuel is the same, just google Colonial Pipeline. Also, truckers deliver that same fuel to random stations. Also, don't be a Karen or cheap, use Hot Shots EDT at every fill up and you'll be fine.
The gas stations have meet the requirements, and all diesel is ULSD. Most gas stations don't keep up with proper signage, stickers, let alone keep them clean. I have ran red fuel in my truck before, no issues. I did some testing on my own vehicle.
in any given area all the fuel comes from same place......there just isnt that many refineries to service different stations independently.....any of those woulda been fine
Why do Chevy makes things so complicated
What complications are you concerned about?
@@DuramaxNews The Diesel Fuel type I am Truck Driver I go to Truck Stop filled up my truck, I don’t worry about the quality of fuel, why can’t I do the same with Duramax.
Or not real
what's not?
Even off road fuel is low surfer only difference is its not taxed like on road fuel
In california, Costco’s top tier, mobil, and 76 are renewable diesel. Ive noticed when running renewable (not b20) my regens stretch 400+ miles
My 12v needs sulfer
New truck owners fukery
This entire video is chock full of incorrect information. Trying to fact check everything said here is like trying to fact check a man with orange skin.
Sorry you got so upset. I looked over everything you fact checked ... looks like you came up short. Then you brought politics in .... silly you .... feel free to continue on and not return.
Go fuel up where the big trucks fuel up.. best desil around
Is everything good after the fix?
Yes, Zero Issues.
That’s why I like old trucks without the government epa bs. I have a 84 Chevy with 6.2 Detroit diesel. Far more reliable than this modern crap.
pumps likely not up to date on stickers-- only one diesel at gas stations
Brand new fuel station. likely just someone grabbing old stickers and sticking them on.
Just trade it in for an old 7.3 power stroke. It will run on anything you feed it, diesel, motor oil, trans fluid, McDonald’s grease, off road diesel, starter fluid. 😂 I drive both a new 6.7 power stroke diesel and my old 7.3, I love both, but I do grow tiered of how much sissy tomfoolery we have to do on these new diesels.
If you keep on feeding your 7.3 B20 you're going to destroy the lines B20 eats fuel lines on older trucks
Everything is fake from china.
Been watching your content for a while and enjoy it… but I think this video is ill informed and needs to be removed. It’s just plain wrong.
Thanks for the feedback.
I'm going to say that you are wrong. Only one type of diesel fuel ulsd clear & red.
Ok 👍
While there is some common sense with cheaper filter cost being generally associated with cheaper filter quality, GM OEM filters have historically been at the bottom of filter quality. Their oil filters are the bottom of the barrel with FRAM. I have zero reason to think the rest of their filters are suddenly of high quality. While I will not buy cheaper filters, I will not run a factory GM filter on any of my Duramax engines, they are junk.
So who does make quality filters if not OEM.
What do you buy?
Heck most AC Delco GM parts are made in Mexico!😢😢😢
Mexico makes a lot of really good parts - gm tech here.
… how do I update and take care of the recall OTA ..?
It will choose you. You can go into the radio and check for updates. I’ve never seen one be available outside of a regular radio update.
Costco in Canada has the lowest quality fuel. It fucks your vehicles. Your snowmobile will throw a det code with there 91 octane
So the only place to buy GM is at the dealership??
It’s a good place to be sure, but you can still buy from Amazon just make sure it’s a gm company that it’s being bought from.
Good info. I suspected exactly what you pointed out with Cat filters I bought recently.
Current diesel is all ULSD. Ag diesel is also ULSD but has red color to distinguish it as not taxed. LS Diesel has been discontinued.
EBAY is the worse place to buy car parts also....
Be careful of Amazon too.
Most likely all fuel is ultra low sulfur. Yet with the expense of repairs it is good to be careful. I fuel where the semis and school busses fuel up. The fuel is bound to be fresher
How do you know what you are getting? Are you going bet on a 50 cent sticker on the pump? How far do you go send out samples to a lab before you put it in your tank? Like most just going to hope for the best and fill the tank.
exactly !
As a fuel delivery person. You are getting the same ULSD that everyone else is getting. We all pull from the same depots. There's not a different tank for each flavor of Diesel or gas. Only difference there ever is, is the additives. Thats mixed in while the fuel is getting pumped to the delivery truck.
Even the furnace oil is ULSD hear in Canada. I would stay far from Costco fuel. There is an "antifungal" addiditive added to all of their fuel(purple fill lid at costco)
X at the terminal #2, Y for #1. Exactly right no matter the brand just aditive difference as we load at the terminal.
Tanker yanker
Low and regular sulfer diesel is no longer made, even for the the railroad. Its all ULSD. Even bunker C is hard to get here in the US for use offshore by ships.
MANN also sells this filter directly. The GM logo is missing but it's identical otherwise. MANN PU 9012/1 z
Thanks for the quick vid. I have a 21 Duramax and have been on the fence with getting this. I have a cold air intake already
Tech get paid. .5 😂😂😂😂
This hose can also can also be loose from the factory on the driver side of intercooler connection.
I think I accidentally got Biodiesel in North Dakota. My mileage went down by a couple of MPG until I refilled with good diesel.
Great another item to add to add. Starting to think Diesel has become a 4n1 engine Diesel, Fuel supplement, DEF, ~def supplement
Now thats got my full attention! as someone who has worked with plenty of european diesels with lots of crystalization issues, if it aint a dud id love to know the nitty gritty details
I’ve seen this and was skeptical myself. Glad to see you’ll be testing it out!
I have a 2024 Silverado HD and that lower flimsy hose you’re talking about blow a quarter size hole in it as I was pulling my trailer my question is I have to limp the truck home did I do any damage to the turbo?
Not likely, as I have replaced so many of these pipes (GM Tech) without any trucks returning with turbo issues.
@@DuramaxNews I just got to get the bank system for it and any other advice because I’m having quite a bit of electrical issues with it
Extremely rare to find "Top Tier" diesel here. It's why I run an additive like HS EDT. Hopefully I never get grief from the dealer for not running the AC Delco stuff but they dont stock it and it's expensive online.
HS EDT is a good one. I prefer archoil as I found it actually fixed my regen frequency at one point.
I dropped off my Silverado 1500 today
Nice ! Hope everything went well !
Any issues since the update?
Costco Diesel ? Definitely rare! Someone told me they got diesel at a Costco but yet to have seen one.
It's very tough to find. I have 5 Costco's near me and only 2 have diesel.
Technology! Better to spend 100k refurbing an old one than to play with Egr Scr def n dpf’s.
Deleted…. 😂
Bahahahahahahahha unless it’s “off-road” it’s ultra low sulphur diesel in North America.
Low Sulphur Diesel is now considered FARM DIESEL or fuel primarily for off road, agricultural or industrial use. Besides determining if it is LSD you need to be sure it is not red dyed or untaxed fuel. Using untaxed fuel on public streets and highways is illegal and will get you in no end of problems if you're caught doing it.
Low Sulphur Diesel is no longer made. In the USA anyway. Farm Diesel is ULSD with coloring added to identify it as not taxed.
I run diesel efficient and I get an extra mpg compared to fuel anywhere else. Never ran top tier
Get a diesel truck from before 2007 Less problems and will last a lot longer
Ford 7.3
Good catch & hopefully that was just a mislabeled pump. According to the EPA web site, after 2010 all on-highway diesel fuel had to be ULSD. www.epa.gov/diesel-fuel-standards/diesel-fuel-standards-and-rulemakings
