Anyone who doesn't mention the 1953 musical shown in the movie The Band Wagon and the legend of Faust did not get the movie. Those are the central metaphors, they are texturally supported and obvious, and anyone who doesn't see the similarities just isn't looking any deeper than the surface. It is they, the audience who only cares for spectacle and ignores nuance and true meaning in art, that the movie is made to criticize, not real fans. I should know, I am a forty year comics fan and I have even performed as the comics Joker in some very telling stories of his character, I know him well and I loved the movie on every level. This reviewer, like most others, is completely wrong. The story is one of Arthur becoming the Joker again because of Harley's love, giving her a child mirroring the Faust legend, then sacrificing his character of the Joker to cast off his demonic power and redeem himself, leading Harley to raise her baby to be the true Joker in the future, to fight the Batman we saw set up. I prove all this on my channel, but I don't do reviews and so only a hundred people have seen it. It also mirrors the plot of The Band Wagon with Fred Astaire becoming a star onstage again and redefining his stage show as Joker redefined his courtroom show, I mean these metaphors are in the movie and right there, That's Entertainment ties both shows together and the music class explains how musicals function, yet people are immune to understanding if it requires the slightest amount of work, like looking up sources and examining layers of metaphor. Todd proved that much, at least, and the truth is that most of you would not get it. These guys sure as heck didn't.

Everyone remembers Jeff being on one during the China reunion but he was pretty bad in this one too lol. Ozzy was definitely making a reference to Denise from China. We've made it to HD Survivor which was a great change to the show. I'm not as high on Gabon as a lot of people are but I do love me some Randy.

It's always been a kinda a shame to me that the final to this season is sorta a let down compared to the last 4 episodes. It's not a bad episode but it's very straightforward with little intrigue as to who is getting voted out on both votes. Natalie broke out in the post merge as a character and was huge in getting Erik to give up the necklace but she really got herself in a alliance where she was at the bottom. Cirie played a very good game all the way back since the Yauman vote and would have won if she made the end. Ultimately she got screwed with James's medical evacuation switching the season to a final 2. Amanda is very at days 1-36 of Survivor but she can never seal the deal. She is horrible at final tribal and the votes coming up to it when people start playing for the jury and takes everything too personally. Paravti played a masterful game. She got herself at the top of every alliance she was apart of. She got everyone on her side while also controlling every vote outside of the Erik move even when she was on the bottom of the numbers (Amanda's idol play). She definitely deserved the win and Ive always been more satisfied with her winning than if Cirie had personally.

while I can't wait for the season with 'you know who', I am super hyped for the best season ever being next!!!!!

Still to this day every time I watch this episode I can't believe Erik did it... there really isn't words for even still. Especially since at least of what we were shown their pitch wasn't even that great. The editing in this episode is top notch, ends possibly the best 4 episode stretch in Survivor history. Too bad the season kinda ends on a whimper with a less entertaining final

It's sad that James had to get evacuated here as he really was the most entertaining part of this season for me outside of the blindsides. Though he was likely going home but he was only seconds away from beating Eric in the last episode and who knows we've never seen James when he absolutely needs to win immunity in the post merge. The Alexis blindside was the best possible outcome because she was giving us the least of the women left. Amanda pulls off only the third successful idol play in the 6 seasons the idol has been around. It really did take people awhile to figure out how to play the idols.

Amanda shoulda took a play from the Penner playbook, and just go for the hug. They ain't gonna kick her off over it. If Amanda just dug it out in front of everyone, the fans woulda changed their vote to Pavarti or Cirie, and Amanda wanted to guarantee she could knock out a fan.

Well I just watched the trailer for The Pumpkin Karver and...well, I am so sorry, Gents 😅 It looks terrible, but hopefully it does end up being so bad it's sort of half way decent. Can't wait for the review!

Jason makes the same mistake Ozzy makes. Back to back getting two guys out with idols is crazy work by the black widow brigade. It is not as impactful with the discount Ozzy than Ozzy though. I never understood why they sent him to exile when the girls could have got the idol themselves and made a clean vote off. James has to the MVP of this episode

There have been big game changing blindsides before (Gretchen: Borneo, John: Marquesas, Leann: Vanuatu, Courtney: Panama & James: China) but so far this has been the biggest blindside so far on survivor. Of all of the favorites Ozzy was the one that the public thought was most likely to win (Survival Skills, dominate alliance, challenge beast, almost winning Cook Islands, was one of the ‘golden boys’ of the survivor franchise & possible winners edit). So for a player like him to be voted off was huge and almost unheard of.

This is a great episode of Survivor despite Ozzy going home. Ozzy needed to play the idol but he got too confident which is what kills you in Survivor. Parvati makes her move that set her up to win the game, she really did bide her time before she made her move. Ozzy and James were going to be targeted at one point their biggest problem was that they never recognized that.

I enjoyed all older seasons but this episode made me love Survivor.

The famous "it's a fucking stick" episode. I'm still confused to this day how Jason thought the stick with 3 tiny lines carved into it was the idol. At least Jamie had something that was the idol just didn't have any writing on it. Parvati starts her power play to win the game. Eliza is such a weird player for me to give an opinion on. I enjoyed her in Vanatu but not so much this time around.

Ami really showed a different side of her this season than in Vanatu. Although she didn't play as good of a game this time she almost made it to the merge and would of probably been included in the Black Widow Brigade.

Losing Kathy here never bothered me. We got the amount of entertainment out of her that we were going to and she would of just been miserable longer if she didn't leave. Tracy actually played a pretty decent game, she helped Joel make his pre swap moves and then post swap turned on him and tried to make a play on the power players but she ran out of time and people to make the move.

Happy to see the 9.5 from Alec at the very start, great final score overall! This movie is so timeless to me. Such an entertaining film beginning to end, perfect performances by the whole cast, and such an iconic score. I've probably seen it 50x...not quite as many times as Sorceror's Stone, but it's close 😅 Great discussion/review, Gents, looking forward to the others! Also, you both should really consider playing Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag after this because it'll really help to compliment watching through these movies.

Always been a bummer that Penner had to be pulled from the game, one of my favorite contestants ever and he already brought so much to this season. I want to see the multiverse of this season where he makes a deep run. And as for Chet it's about time he got out of here as he really was a stagnant player who was just being used as a shield for people to blindside others

All Stars is a dark and tragic love story starring my second favorite (favorite at the time) player of all time and the love of his life and I love it. The way it switches from this fun event with everyone coming back to this dark and personal game is so interesting to me

Joel played a very interesting game and definitely carried the pre swap fan tribe without him it would have been very boring. He somehow made the same move twice in his favor and then had the same move used against him. He just made himself a little too visible and was bad at hiding his threat level once he got around the experienced players. I have always been surprised though that Ozzy agreed to this move this is the same guy who threw a challenge to eliminate who he thought was the weakest player on his tribe... on the sixth day he ever spent on survivor lol

that was quite a bit of games! got some solid titles in there and definitely some "jank" lol larry boy and the bad apple is underrated. nice video!

Alec is WILD for this one! Incredible haul of games, love that OG Xbox Shrek boxart. Also so proud that you got a few Assassin's Creed games. I love all the licensed game representation on Zach's side! That Wii game Spray looks like a hidden gem 3D platformer based on the cover alone, but I looked up some gameplay and it seems like a decent PS2 style action-platformer. The spray mechanics almost seem to borrow from Mario Sunshine...except your projectile vomiting is the "spray" 😅 Also, I think Six Flags might have a new slogan opportunity after this: "Six Flags, your family friendly theme park behind the gas station!" Lol, fantastic video, Gents. Looks like you guys had an awesome trip celebrating 5 years of Tarqaron!

This is one piece of survivor media I haven't touched just because of how shit I've heard it is. There actually was 2 PC Rom games from back in the day themed around Borneo and Australia I think they're better than this shit but not great. The new game also is bad. The party game is a normal party game like do tasks around the house for the challenges and then u vote somebody off your team. The board game is also bad. It sucks cuz there is so much potential for good survivor games
