Nice job All i have left for a big grinder now is my trusty old 1992 vermeer 665b. But speaking of chip retention, i believe the old 665 has them all beat in that department anyway.pull out after a stump and its one pile of chips most of the time.

I had a huge African poplar tree in front of my house. I cut it down and cut the stump down to just under ground level and covered it with top soil. The following spring there was poplar shoots everywhere. They were in neighbours gardens up to 100yrds in every direction. You must deal with the roots not just the stump. The stump is the quick and easy part!

And the roots??? The stump is easy: the vast roots are the problem.

And there was me wondering why some nice firewood was getting shipped up. Should have read the description first!! So satisfying to watch, and I'd love to have a go on one of those machines.
