met Brian in Chamonix, great guy... thank you for making Altra...
Brian was fantastic to get to sit down and chat with
Will Altra Lone Peak 9+ coming to Canada? I will definitely buy a pair.
I would check with your local stores in Canada
Great video legends!
Would love to see an Autopilot vid too
We need the vibram option of the 9+ in the states. People are leaving Altra for Topo BECAUSE of the lack of Vibram on the lone peak. For some people like me, we need that original footshape but the durability isn't there on the base model.
Great interview, but I'm disappointed Altra doesn't recognize the popularity of Vibram in the states, especially for section hikers and thruhikers. U.S. hikers have been asking for a Vibram LP for years for that improved durability over hundreds of miles.
Is the softness of this shoe is soft as a max cushion shoe?
This is a max cushion shoe and is quite cushioned underfoot
@runningwarehouseaustralia tq for the answer keep doing a good video like thie 😃
Oh mate, im from Perth (LA based these days) and this made me insanely nostalgic, I recognized every single location in this video!
Is the Mizuno Rebellion Pro 3 much better than the Pro 2, or is it more or less the same shoe? I’ve seen the Pro 2 at much better prices than the Pro 3. So, which one is worth buying? Could you tell me the main differences, in practice, in terms of the running feel between them?
The Rebellion Pro 3 has a new foam on both the layer above the plate and below. Which is softer and offers more response/bounce than the Pro 2. The Pro 2 has 2 layers of different foams so it is not quite as soft or offer as much bounce. I have preferred how the 3 gives me a bouncier underfoot feel and offers a bit more plushness on landings.
@@runningwarehouseaustralia very thank you. ;-)
Neo Vista are almost perfect for me. One thing I had to give up on. Little support and too soft on the ankle. This one looks same unfortunately
When are these available online?
These are available now, but will sell out very fast
When can we buy in store / online?
These are available now, but will sell out very fast
the Elite model has a solid foam. Considering the high stack on the heel, for someone who is a heelstriker would it be too hard and create problems? I'm talking about speeds above 4 min/km. thanks
It still provides a good amount of cushioning for faster paced efforts.
Great info lads
Jack....The Rippa !!! Sorry, couldn't resist 😅
Which is better for lighter trails
Both would go really well. I would lean slightly more to the METAFUJI as it just has a little bit more cushioning in the heel personally. Nathan RWA
Great review guys 🎉. Wish Mizuno would do better colorways
That latest Mizuno is called Rebellion Beta in Asia.. whereas Pro 3 has a blue-greenish color scheme~
Is that green colour Mizuno Wave Rebellion Pro 3 made of the exact same materials as the beta (zebra) version?
Yes. It is just a different colourway
NB Balos is perfect for long runs. The best for long runs in my opinion. There is definitely enough cushion so not sure why he says there isn't. 36.5 mm with 6mm drop of this Fresh foam X is perfect fog long distance.
Neo Vista 👍🏻
Just ordered the rebellion 2 to keep it as trainer and keeping my rebellion 3 for races day!!
Definitely awesome shoe, not even trying just cut down 30 seconds from my easy pace, couldn't believe it!!!
has any one else had an annoying popping noise in the heel area and what to do to fix it?
I had it returned it to the store and got a new pair and new pair does not do it.
Fantastic shoe but unfortunately can't take it longer than 8K as it causes blister/there is a hot spot around the arch on my right foot. Exactly where Adios Pro 3 did. I had to sell my Pro 3 for the same reason. I had to change shoes today during my long run around 10K (luckily I was running nearby home).
Is Ballerat a place?
Incredible Mizuno beta shoes .. Brilliant racing and most comforting shoes on market. Too bad they don’t get the favourable press they deserve,
I rarely leave comments but feel compelled to because these shoes have managed to check all the boxes for me! Enough cushion for longer runs, responsive enough for when you want to push the tempo, available in a wide fit where it’s wide at the forefoot but snug in the midfoot and heel, and the wide fit was available in not-so-boring colors. I had not worn Mizuno running shoes before this but I could not be happier~
Could you guys comment on how the foam in metafuji compares to shoes such as superblast 2 or new balance ac elite v3. Need a good shoes for an all out mile and a half race but also that will be tested in longer non technical off road trail? Is trail shoe such as metafuji comparable to the super shoes in the road
The METAFUJI Trial has the feel of the ASICS METASPEED series road racing super shoe feel and on non technical off road trail where that extra grip is required, would be a fantastic shoe
Love the pro 2 .. really interested in this one. Do I need to change my technique to use this ?
I think if you have been running in the Pro 2, the Pro 3 will feel instantly recognisable. There will be as mentioned in the video slightly different feeling with Mizuno now using 2 layers of their TPEE foam. But i wouldn't say you need to change your technique
@@runningwarehouseaustralia Is it definitely TPEE? I can't find this detail mentioned on any Mizuno websites. It would be great if it's confirmed to be TPEE due to the higher durability and resilience to cold compared to PEBA and EVA respectively.
👍💯
Che recensione del cazzo
Great discussion. Hadn't realised people were wearing 80g shoes to run 10k and half maras.
Back in the day it was all about as light as possible, and those Mizuno Wave Universe were as light as they came
Thank you so much for your review brother. Would you please tell me that, my feet size is=25.5 cm. I basically use vaporfly next%2 is 26.5 cm, Saucony endorphin pro2-26.5 cm. I never used Adidas brand before. But, i heard that their size little bit big in size. So please ensure my brother that, What size can be the good comfortable for adios pro 4, if my feet size is 25.5 cm. I would appreciate. Thanks again!❤🧡
I have found them to be true to size. I would wear your normal size. Nathan RWA
@@runningwarehouseaustralia normal size means, if my feet size is 25.5cm, then 26.5cm need to wear. Is it?
With Aussie pricing having these at 270 and the Balos at 300 (fairly negligible), which would you recommend as a do-it-all daily trainer? Cheers guys.
If you are after 1 shoe to do everything, easy runs, tempo runs, long runs and sessions i found the Balos to be more versatile and could handle everything. Nathan RWA
@@runningwarehouseaustralia Thanks Nathan - my only option is online for the Balos, but tried on the v14. Would you recommend same size for both? Appreciate it mate.
Excellent discussion, thank you guys. Looking forward to many more of these to come.
Thanks for watching. If you have any suggestions for future videos we would love to hear ideas. Nathan RWA
@@runningwarehouseaustralia Hey Nath & Stu, you could possibly do a video along the lines of ... a 3 shoe rotation for each brand that you guys stock at RWA (Easy Day shoe - Daily /Fast Training day shoe - Race Day shoe)
I pronate a little bit on my left food. how stable are the Challenger 4 and the Elite 4?
They are not stability models, but with the firmer midsole than a lot of other Super Shoes and the carbon plate i found them to be a nice stable platform. Nathan RWA
I got the impression you both sounded a little disappointed. 1080's have always been soft and cushy. If they firmed it up a bit it is a taller stack height 880 now which is just another workhorse.
I wouldn't say disappointed. But there has been a shift which I felt was needed with the introduction of the Balos. It for me almost made it a better daily trainer. Nathan RWA
@@runningwarehouseaustralia Thank you. I agree that it’s probably a better trainer now. However Balos is very pricey. NB needs to bring the price down by at least $20 USD
Great salesmen, you two! I would love to try it, thanks for the honest feedback.
If you need that daily workhorse option it is a great model to try. Nathan RWA
I have feidan 4 challenger and my outside midfoot aches too much and i have to stop and i felt im going to be injured. There is a sort of bump in the outside midfoot part of the shoe. I am a supinator.
A few of us found this and mention it in the review it is quite a narrow midfoot and did cause some irritation at times in testers
@@runningwarehouseaustralia is it only in the challenger or is it present in the elite and ultra as well?
We have found all models to be narrow through the midfoot
Dude you guys need reply the comments man! We need you lol
What can we help you with? Nathan RWA
Thanks for sharing, and really impressed by your test videos. this series from Lining is booming in China these years, and a bit curious about how your guys could purchase in Aust, from EC site or Lining store, is this brand quite popular there ?
Li-Ning has just arrived in Australia, we have found them to be a really nice option. The Challenger and Elite are also really well priced.
These shoes are Alpha Fly 3 Is it better than Adidas Adizero Adios Pro evo1?
There is very little supply of the adidas Adizero Pro Evo 1 currently. The Li-Ning models feel to have a bit firmed foam underfoot, and our testers have found them to be very durable.
Is the challenger wide or narrow?
We found them to be a little narrow in the midfoot, but it opened up in the forefoot
Amazing
Stunning look I like this engineer design I liked your review Thank you NB ❤❤❤
able to ship oversea like malaysia ?
thats only in autralia? when this coming to the usa ?
Thanks for your impression! I bought both the Challenger 4 and Elite 4, a couple of months ago and currently using the first one for tempo runs and hill trainings, while the later only for races and some track sessions. What can I say, the feelings are awesome with both! With the Challenger 4 I feel that I can use it for speed training as well as going at a smoother pace without trouble from the carbon plate (usually my easy runs are at 4'45"/km), while with the Elite 4, the propulsion is insane! I really love how it makes me go faster without putting much effort. If I had to compare them, I feel the Challenger 4 similar to the Endorphin Pro 3 I had until recently, maybe a little bit stiffer, but still with good cushioning. As with the Elite 4, I feel them more responsive and cushioned than the Metaspeed Sky+ I was wearing until buying these ones. As with sizing, and this was the only problem for me at first, I normally wear US11,5, but there wasn't that size so I went with US12 and felt them a little bit loose, but just solved it with a good knot and socks (I also replaced the laces, they were too basic). In the end, I highly recommend them if you are thinking about saving some money and trying the less common brands.
Hey can you do moderate effort in this shoes? More like a tempo efforts
how stable is the feidan challenger 4?. My left foot pronates inward. and the challenger 4 looks too narrow in the midfoot.
@@samueldavid2114 Sure, at least with the Challenger you shouldn't have problems going at smoother paces. With the Elite, they will probably ask to go a bit faster, but nevertheless they are still comfortable.
@@jorgecastrejon1611 They are OK! I also heavily pronate with my right foot and I haven't had any problems till now.
I'd really like to get one but there's no extra wide or even wide version. I hope they make one someday.
I just got one for 149U$, worth every penny!
