You can pick-up based on your available days: Day-1: Gorumara/Lataguri: Gorumara Jeep Safari (Jatraprasad route or Medla) and Elephant Safari (Dhupjhora) Day-2: Samsing/Suntalekhola/Laliguras Day-3: Murti Bridge/Drive through Chapramari forest. Move to Jaldapara/Madarihat. Stay at Jaldapara. Day-4: Jaldapara Jeep Safari, Elephant Safari Day-5: Visit Phuentsholing, take a local tour at Phuentsholing (Bhutan). Go to Buxa. Stay at Buxa/Alipurduar. Day-6: Tracking at Buxa - Buxa Fort Day-7: Visit Jayanti river Bed. Take Jeep Safari (Chunia Watch Tower) and (Mahakal Mandir). Instant booking is available at Jayanti. No advance booking is required. There are more important places: 1. Lava/Rishop/Kolakham (and lot more in this region) 2. Jhalong/Bindu - (Road is under construction) 3. Chilapata Forest (Stay here) or Stay at Jaldapara and just have a jeep Safai). 4. Cooch-behar (from Alipurduar) and many more... Jeep/Elephant safari online booking: www.wbsfda.org/Safari/PlaceDetails/Mg== Its only entry fees. Other fees should be paid at the ticket counters. Booking counter's locations are: Near Lataguri - for Gorumara, in front of Jaldapara Tourist Lodge - for Jaldapara. Get your ticket from the counters - on the previous day before 8pm. You can stay at: 1. Gorumara: Tilabari or Batabari or Murti Tourist Lodge. 2. Jaldapara: Jaldapara tourist Lodge. 3. Buxa: Mostly Homestay's are available. Or, you can stay near Alipurduar. We've mentioned WB tourism hotels only - wbtdcl.wbtourismgov.in/home#viewdiv. There are so may other hotels as well. All the forests remain closed: 15 July - 15 Sept every year.

🙂Nice suggestion! But, this route is obsolete now. It was used when we used to get regular traffic congestions at Dalkhola rail gate. Now, we have 4 Lane Dalkhola Bypass which is always recommended.

1. Indian SIM card does not work in Bhutan 2. Google map won't work due to internet unavailability - unless you've downloaded offline map in the App. 3. Entering Bhutan with own car requires permit and fees. 4. For a day tour in Phuentsholing, you can park your car at Jaigaon Market area. Free parking is available. 5. Take a auto or walk till Bhutan gate. 6. There are so many cars/jeeps in front of Bhutan gate. Hire one from there and have a day trip at Phuentsholing - charge is around 1,200/- to 1,800/- for Alto/Wagner type cars. 7. To enter Bhutan, you have to go though a security check and need to show Aadhar/Votar. The driver of the rented car will show you the Bhutan consulate area (There is one narrow street in front of Bhutan gate - right side of the road - you will see a long queue there - it takes 15-30 mins to complete the process. Its a same process when you enter a new country, but here it is in a easier form - Just carry the ID cards. Its for roaming around in Phuentsholing for 24 hours only.).

Thank you for your explanation about the info we provided. According to wikipedia - world's largest Shiv linga is Maha Mrityunjay Temple - Nagaon, Assam (126 feet). Ziro's one is highest "naturally formed" Shiva Linga (25 feet). Thanks a lot for your comments. It gave us the opportunity to verify and correct.
