i finished this book last night! i agree with how you mentioned that you had high expectations based on the hype it gets, but while i still really enjoyed reading it, i felt like it didn’t quite live up to what i had in mind (particularly towards the end, i loved the beginning and middle and was in tears at multiple moments). loved hearing your thoughts and review!

Actually I cannot read many books too, but I take the British/American Literature class(AP Literature) at my school and I really like the class! I liked this book more due to how it was different from the stuff I've read before. It was engaging and has every attribute of a good novel.

I literally just started watching the TV series 2 days ago. Didn’t realize it was a book. Gives me “Almost Famous” vibes.

The selection reminds me of The Platform movie from Netflix

Christopher as a character just felt spoiled and entitled with everything from the way his food needs to be prepared to screaming if he doesn't get what he wants i.e. taking his math exam. His mathematical worldview was interesting but I kinda just felt bad for the parents. I agree that the book wasn't really a mystery as the mystery is solved half way in, and more so on the family dynamics and his growth which I was slightly disappointed in as I came in expecting something else.

New Sub here! I watched a few of your videos and I’d like to recommend a series! Its called “Fortune Falls” by Lou Vane. Its currently four book but I believe it will be 6. Its a Dystopian/Post apocalyptic, but it leans more towards post apocalyptic. Its about a group of teenagers at a leadership retreat who flee into the mountains after a deadly virus outbreak. Its full of action, adventures, and romance. Although the romance is a love triangle. Its also one of the only series where I think books later into the series are better than the first! If you do decide to read it I hope you enjoy :)

I'm currently reading this holocaust book called Once We Were Brothers. It's about two boys who were best friends during the ww2 in Poland but they were on two different sides during the holocaust one is a Polish Jew and the other one is a German Idk if this is fictional or a real story but it's actually very heartbreaking like many other holocaust stories
