@apps3684 yes,I also Traveled to Delhi to get my visa, we have Chinese embassy thing in Delhi only so, we need to travel to Delhi for Chinese Visa...

During transit time, if you pick up your luggage and check-in again, you need to have visa , Just hand luggage means, no need of transit visa

@@Ashaim87 yes, you can travel early also, once you got visa, thr will be no problem at all, just check visa validity dates and you can Travel within that dates

@@Shersher1571 X1 visa is just for entry into China, visa validity is depends on you, if you apply for 3 months, then you should travel with in 3 months , so according to your travel date. Just mention it

@@Nenumerakshashi I have mentioned 3 months visa validity in online visa application form. If I travel within 3 months to China then after 3 months do I need to come back to New Delhi from China for applying for extending the visa validity?

In Delhi visa office you will get X 1 visa and with that x1 visa you will go to china and after going to your university in china, you have to apply for new visa again within 1 month of entry into china, University will help you for visa things in china.....

@@annmaria_0I applied for X1 visa n X1 visa is like, just to enter into china and after going to university I applied again for new visa within 1 month for 1 year....

It's depends on university andi...from India I applied x1 visa to just enter into china and after coming here i use to apply for new visa every year (My university allowed me to get only 1 year visa each time )
