This is about 30 minutes from me. I take the back roads to get there though. My grandpa and other family members were members and we'd go to the Labor Day celebration. Lots of good food, music and fellowship. It celebrates when Troop was buried there and is sort of a fundraiser. There are outhouses there though you didn't show them. My son fell and broke his arm running out of one them years ago. There was a wasp nest in it. We were there for the celebration. I knew some of the dogs buried there. My granny and grandpa knew everyone there including Key and his family. My gr grandpa Underwood was a coon hunter and he knew a lot of the other hunters. Not sure if he ever went to the camp. Supposedly he and Mr. Key are distant cousins. Actually Key is spelled Kee (Andrew Kee Underwood). From what I understand, everyone thought it was spelled Key and named the cemetery that. I'm not sure about it though.

Our father Theran P Cafferty was hero and had a purple heart ..iron cross..silver wings and many other honors...I love my daddy and I am glad he is in Jefferson Barracks.

He was in army air corps. Served fighting the Japanese. Stationed in Luzan Phillipines. Bless all of the families of our veterans ❤😢😢

My father and mother are there. We are in Las vegas but born in st. Louis.. my father served in ww2 an d my mother is buried on top. Bittersweet memories of my father being interred. Full military honors and never forget we went to Franz Sigel school and my twin sister and our brother were in the drum and bugle corps at that school. They let my brother terrance play taps after all the military protocol and he was 9 years old. He had his little bugle from school. That was 1968. Love you Daddy.

Great video. Being a descendant of the Eastern Band and can fish in to places most can't. I haven't tried to buy land there. But, it is the most beautiful place on Earth. You are good folks!!!

Few answers to your questions. (Husband and I met at Brevard College in 1991) Brevard Methodist College is associated with the Methodist Church. It was originally a two year liberal school - Many Art and music majors. It is now a four year school, and offers some Masters Degrees too. One of their coolest programs is the Wildnerness Leadership program. They have a National winning cycling team. The sign at the entrance is NOT the original sign. The Bell tower was constructed in 1991. Jones Hall does overlook the original soccer field. The Blue Barn was the theater until the Porter Center was built. The average cost to attend Brevard is about $45k a year now. The new dorms were also built in the late 90's. Taylor Hall was demolitioned a few years ago. I lived in Jones Hall, which had to have it's roof replaced after it collapsed from a major snow storm. The class sizes are usually no more than 25. You are a STUDENT, not a number. The atmosphere to be ones self is truly embraced - no matter what side of the aisle you vote on.

We’re on vacation in Garden city beach South Carolina..stopped for a late lunch on the way here this past Saturday…two hours away at McDonalds. Almost 20.00 for two drinks, two fries and two fish filet sandwiches. Never again.. There was a bbq restaurant next door..we could have dined there and gotten more food for close to the same price. Have a safe adventure.
