One of my all time favorite lure. Great great one. Works really well in cold water, slowly retrieve it with some jerks now and then and a pause after or before the jerks. Sometimes just rolling it home slow as F is whats wanted. Great versatility in this type of lure.

How much did that rod cost? And how is it? I have two setups for up to 120g, a 8'0" Porex X Lazy Jerk v2, and a Grey's platinum II jerkbait 6'6" -110g. Reels are Shimano Curado 201M HG(or OG, got both gear sets) and a Daiwa Coastal 200 TWS. Also coming is a one of a kind Special latest gen Abu Revo SX modified to better suit pike fishing, more spool volume and some other tidbits making it a proper light but very strong reel.

If you'd rested the swim for ten minutes, instead of constantly casting with different lures, you'd had caught it first chuck when you re-visit the swim. I'd always use the same lure it initially followed. I've been lure fishing for pike a very long time, with over 200 20lb plus pike to my name and caught lots of fish with that tactic.

Great video Jared! And explains why I’ve caught so few pike as you just keep working that swim with the different lures, where’s most would run a few casts and walk on. Inspiring stuff :)

Mate i like your vids. Watch 4 or 5 today but this one had some out of character dubious fish care. Im putting it down to one of those days but Perch are not a tough enough ti be dragged through the brambles
