Beading a tire that is narrower than rim

Quick video on how to bead a tire that is narrower than rim and won’t seat with normal air blast from compressor. A tire can be narrower due to previously being mounted to a narrow rim. This process will also work to stretch for a narrow tire to a wider rim.

Fantastic tape and instruction. Helped me salvage my tent, which had given me 5+ years of great storage.

Hope this helps… my first white Vevor canopy, when new, I painted all the sun-facing sides with cheap white spray paint to block the UV… then did a large tarp over the top.

UV kills your fabric of these shelters. UV will also kill you. Sunlight is like angels, both wonderful and terrible.

I went in half with someone who had one of these with a ripped up cover from a wind storm. 229.99 for a new one, he got his replacement cover and I got a frame. I goes on Walmart website and I'm not sure exactly what I bought but I got 5 of them to get the free shipping. EZ Travel 10 x 20ft Canopy Cover Tent. From what I can tell it will cover the top but leave the sides open. I'll have it in a couple days.

What if both tanks are very cold, will it still transfer some propane? Oh, in 2024, in the states, a 1 pound tank is now $9.... I know, a few years ago they were 5-6 dollars each. I know this video is a few years old. Just curious about 2 cold tanks.

Good question...I have never tried it.

  • @Snouthunter

I saw someone take UV resistant silicone and acetone, mixed them together, and applied that to the canopy top. The acetone makes covering the material easier because it melts the silicone down into a liquid for easy application. I don't know how long that will last, but I'm going to try it.

My father-in law has a "shed in a box" and after 4 years....he bought some Sun-Tuff panels and screwed them to 1x3 strapping that he applied horizontally to the frames! It works great!! and the snow slides off easily!!

Good idea. After about 19 years I strap them as well and then put tin on to make it more permanent if desired.

First thing do is skip all the copycats out there. Buy the very best. Buy a SHELTER LOGIC. # 1 USE SELF TAPPING SCREWS TO HOLD THE JOINTS TOGETHER. USE TUBE POOL FLOATS CUT IN HALF LENGTH WAYS AND TAPE THEM ON THE RAILS WERE TARP TOUCHES TO PREVENT FRICTION RUB THROUGHS. ATTACH THE SIDES ,THEN ROLL ON A COAT OF UV PROOF RUBBERIZED ROOF SEALER, DO THE SAME FOR THE ENDS. CUT 2" PVC PIPE DOWN THE MIDDLE INTO TWO PCS. ROLL THE TARP END AND SIDE ENDS TIGHTLY AROUND THE POLE AND DUCT TAPE SECURE. NOW USE A PIECE OF PVC TO SECURE IT TO THE POLE WITH SELF TAPPERS. DO THE SAME with the roof. Seal and secure with PVC.

Original eventually bit the bullet and I strapped it and tinned the roof as per my other video. I have other tents that I use the wrap on and yes they are still going strong at 10 yrs by recovering every year with new tarp over original. I do notice tarps are getting cheaper like every else so you have to e more careful now

From my experience I would caution against any type of paint on decks. It just doesn't last. I would only use a water sealer such as Thompsons that is clear . They also make some tinted water sealers but sure how long they would last. When I redo my back deck it will only get a water sealer

I used the concentrated stuff from home depot. 30 outdoor cleaner. We use a back pack to spray it on. Works great on all exterior surfaces. You can see the mold dirt n grime just run off. Not dangerous to plants. It smells like bleach tho

I will advise not to stain your deck with a solid colour. You will have to touch it up yearly. I would just let it be or use a clear stain. It will last longer and it is easier to maintain. Learn from my mistakes. 😢

We get a lot of hail in our neck of the woods. I've accepted the fact that I'm going to have to restain the flat parts once a year. Since the hail is going to wreck it no matter what I'm going to do minimum effort: pressure wash, that nasty acidic deck clean, rinse, and stain the next day. I'm using the same stain from the big box store each year.

    • @skeeterhandyman9572

It’s sucks air in through valve stem after the explosion making that sound. All fumes are expelled with explosion through the valve stems as the must be done with the valve stem screwed out to avoid tire damage

If it was on the tire long enough. Burns off instantly with explosion. No harm to tire at all. Been done for decades. Starter fluid is best as I mention but this works just fine in a pinch

No, this has been done for decades explosion burns everything off instantly. No harm to tire and this is done with tire valve screwed out so all fumes burn and escape through the valve stem.

Great fix to your shelter. Mine is less than a year old, but I intend to copy your idea. I’m also going to reinforce the “rafter” tubes by adding galvanized pipe leftover from chain link fence. This should make it stronger and hold the weight of snow until I can brush it off. Thanks for sharing your idea.
