Beading a tire that is narrower than rim
Quick video on how to bead a tire that is narrower than rim and won’t seat with normal air blast from compressor. A tire can be narrower due to previously being mounted to a narrow rim. This process will also work to stretch for a narrow tire to a wider rim.

Nice video, may I ask the manufacturers name of this paint? Thank you in advance.
Still would've done 2. Would've filled in th3 cracks n wouldn't have taken as much paint. Looks.great. Jmo
I used the concentrated stuff from home depot. 30 outdoor cleaner. We use a back pack to spray it on. Works great on all exterior surfaces. You can see the mold dirt n grime just run off. Not dangerous to plants. It smells like bleach tho
I’ve seen some tents out there with some kind of black paint on them. Anyone know what that is?
Bleach, dish soap and hot water! I tried. Never worked
video on repeating a wooden deck Video on repainting a wooden deck
Nice look! How is it holding up in 2024? I would love to know.
Sadly it only lasted a few years. I suspect wood was too old to repaint and only course of action now is to put new boards on as they are about 22yrs old now
I will advise not to stain your deck with a solid colour. You will have to touch it up yearly. I would just let it be or use a clear stain. It will last longer and it is easier to maintain. Learn from my mistakes. 😢
Great help, thanks
We get a lot of hail in our neck of the woods. I've accepted the fact that I'm going to have to restain the flat parts once a year. Since the hail is going to wreck it no matter what I'm going to do minimum effort: pressure wash, that nasty acidic deck clean, rinse, and stain the next day. I'm using the same stain from the big box store each year.
.....Or cover with a Vinyl Tarp and it will last a minimum of 10 years with zero maintenance 😉
How long you let it dry before paint?
I think at least a day if I recall correctly. Preferably sun
Why did the tire moan...?
It’s sucks air in through valve stem after the explosion making that sound. All fumes are expelled with explosion through the valve stems as the must be done with the valve stem screwed out to avoid tire damage
Really smart to use a solvent that dissolves rubber.
If it was on the tire long enough. Burns off instantly with explosion. No harm to tire at all. Been done for decades. Starter fluid is best as I mention but this works just fine in a pinch
Bomb rolling around on road looking for a place to blow
No, this has been done for decades explosion burns everything off instantly. No harm to tire and this is done with tire valve screwed out so all fumes burn and escape through the valve stem.
Is this deck paint suitable for snowy weather?
Very Smart Idea, makes good sense.
That will not stop the wind blowing the door open and bending the thin metal poles
just courous as to how to fastened the wood to the rear to install your wall? Didyou make a video of that. Love the idea of the tarp over it. I am planning on doing the same with mine. Thanks for the great idea.
Self tapping metal screw through wood and into metal tubes. Then I connected sheets in center of shed with 2 x 4s that fastened to a post driven in ground on inside of shed
Primer should help after sanding it.. thank you for the follow up!!!
Liking your fake hornet nest to keep the wasps away!
Try rolling the door so the curl is to the inside so it does not collect water and debris.
Thank you very much for your video, i woulda thought i was about to blow lol made lots of noise i was close to throwing it away from me
Keep the frame and ditch the fabric! Use convoluted sheet metal panels and, after they are mounted, paint it!
Doesn't work with newer 20lb tanks with new opd valve.
Great job!
Why, you can buy a steel roofed one for double the price.
Great fix to your shelter. Mine is less than a year old, but I intend to copy your idea. I’m also going to reinforce the “rafter” tubes by adding galvanized pipe leftover from chain link fence. This should make it stronger and hold the weight of snow until I can brush it off. Thanks for sharing your idea.
You know you can buy replacement tarps for these garages, right? Just paint them with UV protected paint.
Yeah but replacement tarps for them here in Canada cost as much as entire new tent ! The $40 tarp once a year is much cheaper to prolong life. Once original tarp finally does then I get new tent or just cover with tin to make it permanent
You gave me a great idea, thank you
Wish I had thought to do this before mine fell apart. I replaced the top with a new tarp but that didn’t work super well. I just ordered a new one. I think I’m gonna put corroborated metal on the old one
Good video but you didn't utilize the replacement plan?
Can you overfill the small one? I’ve heard with full 20lb tanks the small one can bulge.????
No you can’t overfill. Once you can no longer hear it transferring it’s done
One coat always looks like shit. If you did 2 maybe in a couple of years it would still look fresh.
Dude just get 20x20 and it will visually look uniform and one lol . Just a military tent I got at local Quonset hut surplus ✌️
I wonder if it helps to use gorilla tape to reinforce the inside of the corners where the tubes wear out the tarp material? Seems like that would be a weak point
Yes I think it would help. The main trick I found is to not make the main cover really tight when assembled because when the hot sun hits it will tighten up a lot and potentially rip the friction points
Thanks for the info! Just put up the exact thing. Wind is a real bugger...
HI, why cant I get more than an once +/- transferred? Thanks
Not sure I understand your question? You can only fill one small tank?
If you just had your deck put down a few months ago, can you just sweep it and start painting?
I would wait longer if it’s pressure treated…however from my experience I would not use paint at all. Only use a water sealer such as Thompsons
I used the Canadian Tire paint... NEVER AGAIN! I did everything painstaking correct and it came off in a few years and now I have to start the process all over. It's worth spending the extra dollars on a better paint.
I agree, it didn’t last for me either. Painting wood is just generally a bad idea even if it is a paint /stain combo. Only use a stain such as Thompson’s water sealer, etc
The logics not there. $50 each year for tarps in 10 years is $500 bucks and the portable tent cost me $150 at harbor freight. This is a no brainer, buy a new one once this thing is bad. Ours is 3 years now and still look brand new. Wash them, don't let green shit sit on it year after year. This is how you take care of it and don't put anything up against the sides that can damage or rip the cover. Don't waste your $$$$😂
What size tarp should i use on a 12x20 tent?
Ideally 24feet long to allow 2 feet at each end to tuck and the width should around 18ft -20 ft but can vary a little depending how low down the sides you want it
@@skeeterhandyman9572 ok cool. I ordered a 18x24
Very well done. I particularly liked how you placed a wall at one end of the tent.
Extend life of shelter in box
What a wonderful idea. Thanks so much for sharing
Thank you very much for the idea and the how too - we did our's today
Awesome. I hope it works well for you!
I've painted my deck a few times. Word of advice, don't skip out on primer. It adds an extra layer of protection to your wood and ensures good adhesion of the paint.
How long does it last if done right?
Covering top with another tarp boy if that ain't a damn good idea I don't know what is! Heck yeah appreciate you!! 🤠👏
Excellent video, and I was reading last night that Blue is the most UV resistant color, so maybe a blue tarp would be good. On second thought, most blue tarps are the very light duty so unless they make a blue HD tarp a dark colored HD tarp would be best. Thanks for sharing.
Do you think it needed a primer first?
