Does blind contour drawing always require NEVER lifting the pencil?
if it is a continuous blind contour than, yes. otherwise, you can lift your pencil, check where you are, put down your pencil and keep drawing! you'll have a more "realistic" looking drawing this way, with the beautiful intuitiveness of the blind contour line in tact.
you can lift the pencil, the point of blind contours is for hand-eye coordination, gaining a sense of confidence in your hand to draw what you see.
