Have no had one malfunction with mine.

Based on the video it looks like on the shots with issues the slide is moving slightly forward AFTER you pull the trigger which leads me to believe it isn’t going back into battery. Which would explain no strikes on the primer. You can try to grip it tighter (remember Glock wrist) or putting a heavier recoil spring in there.

I have 2500 rounds thru mine the only time that has happened is when my wife has shot the gun and limb wrist the gun. Just my opinion not saying he his doing that it the video

I bought one and here's my experience: Took it from the gun store to the range and had 3 light primer strikes in the first 23 shots. Then the gun ran perfect for the next 177 rounds. I took it out again a week later and the gun had 2 light primer strikes out of 300 round put thru the gun. I then took it home and clean the crap out of the gun and lightly oiled the gun with thin lube and cycled the slide around 200 times. I've been to the range two more time and have run 500 round thru the gun without issue. I think the gun needs a very good cleaning right out of the box and I do believe cycling the slide over 200 times and help break in the gun... This is just my 2 cents worth.

I bought one of these POS and have been unable to get an RA from Century to repair it. Poor quality, and very poor Custome Service, please steer clear of Canik for a self defense weapon.

I have the 12.5 pistol. I love the gun but it always ejects brass at 130 or 2 oclock. Im running geissele super 42 woth an h3... i think the gas port is too large. Adjustable gas is next i guess. Im at about 3k rounds and 2 years

On the first misfire in this video, the slide didn’t reset forward after the previous shot. Watch the slide in the video. It’s only about a quarter inch or less but you can see it reset forward after the trigger pull.

It is a limp wrist/soft spring problem.. leave the stock heavier spring in and learn to grip a gun like a man and 95% of people have no issues.. this dude is limp writing to show you what it’s doing lol… when he isn’t it works fine bro… how people have TH-cam gun channels and are idiots makes no sense.. we have 4-5 of these in our gun range club and we have over 2000 rounds through them all and not one problem yet besides one guy who was having problems and it was him not the gun.

Lock the slide back and drop a round in the chamber. When you point that barrel up north, that round should drop right out. Mine is having issues with consistency of rounds dropping out. I'm almost positive the tolerances on the chamber are too tight and this is causing some issues with the failure to go into battery

I shot my brand new Canik TTi the other day. Malfunctioned the first 4 rounds. Shot probably a total of over 100rounds before I finally gave up. In between rounds I had failure to go into battery. Double feed. Stove pipes. And other issues. Changed the springs. Cleaned and lubed it. Even switched between 115 and 124 grain ammo. Still would malfunction. Very disappointed.

So after I watched your video, I bought a TTI. At the shop while going over new gun, I installed the lighter spring. Next day we went to range, and several times had exact issue you are making video about. Pushed slide fully FWD, and it would shoot. I ran to the truck in a panic and grabbed the stronger spring and put it (stock) stronger 💪 spring back in. After putting stock spring back in, I had no more problems the rest of the day, and we several people pushed rounds through it--zero issues. 200+ rds = zero issues. Had I not watched your video I would have been furious at my new purchase, so thanks for the vid-- the fix for me was simply putting stock spring back in.... Once I have a few hundred more rds through it I'll try lighter spring again see if it works then.....

The gun has 2 recoil spring for lite & heavy for different velocity rds the one on it to begin with is high velocity rds know which velocity rds your using & when to switch out to other spring

Mine had like 3-4 failures due to Winchester ammo. At about 700 rounds, no cleaning and just fine. Used federal 115 grain and some spreecher 124 lawman Results, don’t use shitty Winchester ammo

I’m curious as to what your serial number is. These started with 00001. I work at a sporting goods chain store and we just sold number 37868. I bought mine with a 04000 number and no issues.

My first canik (Mete SFX) has been flawless. My second canik (Mete MC9) was plagued with all sorts of problems. Was interested in this one and this has shown that they don't really care about quality control and you get what you pay for. I will stick to my glocks. Man I wanted to love canik but a gun that doesn't run properly pointless no matter the deal on it.

Just got mine couple of days ago went down to the range. I have the same issue failure with 124g . Thanks for ur videos

Got about 300 rounds through mine and all is good. It's definitely not a true TTI gun but still lots of fun to shoot.

I do not currently own a Canik, but I will in the near future. Because of this interest, several other pages posted about this problem. There is what I'll call a tab on the firing pin that hits another point when fired. This is enough to prevent the firing pin from even denting the primer. No know mfg fix was presented by Canik, but apparently upgrading the recoil spring to a Glock higher pressure helps over ride this situation. If you check the firing pin tab and it's counter part in the slide, you should notice slight chunks missing due to impact from firing. Again, no mfg fix was presented. The higher pressure Glock spring helps mitigate the issue, but likely only until too much of either piece chips away, causing a yet to be discovered issue. It's either a material used issue by a contractor, a mfg failure to call for an inadequate material, or a design error. Hope this helps. I will acquire a Canik, and this issue has not detoured my interest.

Change the spring for lower grain ammo :)

When you start using a compensator it can get temperamental.....once you digure it out shes a BUTE that goes for any firearm with a compensator.....some do bettwr then others

For me and you said pistol and yes that technically includes revolvers but that's not what most will think of so. 5. 22lr 4. 45acp 3. 357 sig 2. 9mm and 1. 10mm Now it's not that I don't like 45, it's just it's slow and heavy recoiling you don't get lots of bang for your buck you know, it's amazing suppressed mind thee best suppressed and 357 sig? You get the heavy bullet but in a convenient package that's easy to manage although expensive, 22lr well it's so versatile at taking out small stuff and as a backup option so duh that's going on the list and 9mm? It's the most used round I believe in the world! And for good reason too been around for over 100 years and has advanced so much and is used in so many firearms but as good as the 9 is. *The 10mm is simply better at putting something down*

never had problem with mine… been shooting the crap out of it at the range.. almost 2k now… thank goodness i dont have the same problem like what others experience or else it will be a bummer..

I saw a very lightly used one at my LGS. Almost purchased it, kinda glad I didn't. Makes me wonder if the original owner was having a similar issue. This is odd, I've purchased Caniks before in the past and never had a problem out of any of them. Thanks for the video.
