This might be one of 22Tesla's best and scariest episodes because it's based off of true events the 1966 Aberfan Disaster and Eryl May Jones a 10 year old girl who had a premonitions about the disaster for 6 nights in a row before it happened but tragically unlike the Final Destination films Eryl didn't cheat death and she died in the disaster

It's awfully crackly, and it's very distracting, which os an awful shame because how you reacted to it was great, and I'd watch more without this crackling. That was a great reaction! That story is such a masterpiece from Carson's video workshop. I had the same reaction when Sir Topham Hatt said on my authority, I was like oooooooo it's going down.

It makes sense Diesel couldn't catch the trucks. A BR Class 08's top speed was only 15 or 20 mph depending on the engine they were fitted with.

This is like a sequel to either Thomas and Devious Diesel or Springtime for Diesel. Especially with that remix of Delightful Diesel at the end, it gives a vibe that Diesel had left the past behind him and is starting a new. If they tried to give Diesel a redemption arc in any media, this could have been a perfect finale.

You know since I watched this episode I can't but think of Gordon bellowing (in the shed or during the storm) saying Puffa's line, A race against time! It would have worked so well.

Do you hear the music playing while Bear entered the shed? I know what it is but it's so quiet and peaceful. I love it.

If you look closely at the photo of Edward and Diesel, you'll notice the date on it is 24/09/78, just to give you idea as to when this story is set.

That ending with Duck and Diesel was great.

I understand that this story is all about the steam engines learning to forgive Diesel and give him one more chance, but most new engines who come to Sodor only ever get one chance to stay (D261, Spamcan, Dudley etc). Ignoring the fact that Diesel has had multiple chances before this and screwed-up every time, I can overlook that seeing as his crimes ultimately weren't that bad. What I can't overlook is characters like Arry & Bert (and Diesel 10 depending on your head cannon) being given a free pass when they literally tried to murder steam engines like Stepney in their first appearance! That alone should have been enough to get them sent away forever and yet they are allowed to stay! And even when they aren't trying to scrap steam engines they keep finding other ways to make their lives miserable! Seems like double standards if you ask me.
