Saturday morning, the extended family and friends (and a bus of Gate 1 tourists!) have a procession with music blasting. Tradition is the about-to-be ordained monk rides a horse that rears up constantly in homage to Lord Buddha who rode a horse out of the palace. Our young friend will be ordained Sunday morning and will remain a monk for as little as 15-30 days.
