มุมมอง 297 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
In this episode of the Design30 Podcast I discuss user personas and why they are a useful design tool. Personas help us define and understand our users while also aiding in communicating their needs to the design team. Additionally, these archetypal user personas provide specificity where ambiguity typically reigns, at the start of a project. Remember, a product designed for everyone serves no ...

Love it Exactly what I needed to watch at this stage of development. Keep up the amazing work man
Awesome to hear! Thanks for watching!
Great video! I'm on the side of innovation as well, in my opinion it's connecting the dots between small inventions. Do you agree? Hugs from Brazil!
Yeah! I think that is a great way to think about it. Thanks for the comment!
Good to learn both, thanks man

I have premium plus and its still not giving me the option to write articles
And you are on desktop?
@learndesign30 no. Just the app
Do you know if there’s a way to have 2 authors for one post?
I do not know how to do that. But if I find out I will post a video on it!
Thanks for this! Considering a plus subscription. Do you write articles yourself? Would be interesting to compare it to Substack.
Ayyyy thankss i was asking for review thanks for explaining by the way is this helpful?
There’s ALWAYS wisdom in failure:)
I struggle to say always but I could be convinced.
Dude, the 90-90 rule is a force of nature.
I’m glad you have a beard.
I am too.
I’m glad you have a house.
Me too!
“‘If fighting is sure to result in victory, you must fight!’ Sun Tzu said that, and I’m pretty sure he knows more about fighting than you do pal. Because he invented it, and perfected it so that no living man could beat him in the ring of honor!”
Thanks for watching!
YES
Yep!
seen 1 in flint MI last week. Awesome looking
It was so cool!
No not necessarily. Because why should one single moment define your entire career? And if you’re gonna say “oh well it’s not just once it’s how you react to everything bad around you” you don’t think people could change? i understand what you’re trying to say but i feel it could be worded better.
Thanks for watching!
@@learndesign30 yup 👍🏽 thanks for reading

No separation but the idea is that the more success the less failures. The proportion should be way prronunciated
Solution vs. revolution The former is the way to the latter
You're calling universal design worthless? Are you just making an excuse to value some users over others?
Not that it is worthless, just that it doesn’t exist. It would be worth a lot if you could do it.
@@learndesign30 Look up the curb cut effect. Closed Captions Water Filters Air conditioners Bridges They may require installers or operators, but they are designed for everybody and are useable by everybody.
Pants
I don’t know if I’ve seen a pair of pants everyone could fit into..
@@learndesign30 you’re talking specifications not design. The pants size is a variable within the product design
@@them4dhatt3r I think specifications are a key part of any design. But even from that perspective there are different styles and fits for one pant size. I don’t think it is fair to generalize pants as a design when it is such a large category of products. Perhaps you could say pants are a “design concept”?
@@learndesign30 tldr Pants
Yup. Also a feature you love and bake into the design will be hated by half of those that have to use it.
Guess I don't need these socks anymore..
I’m not sure what your socks look like but I doubt they would work well for every person on the planet 😆

How big would it have to be to have the menu in every single language?

“I have only made this letter longer because I have not had the time to make it shorter." (Letter 16, 1657)” ― Blaise Pascal, The Provincial Letters
Exactly! The perfect quote.
Elegant is when a system has been refined to it's simplest possible form while still accomplishing the goal it was designed to do. And the first iteration is never elegant.
Great way to put it!
The "simpler" the person wants something the more "design" has to go into it, or so it seems...
It often turns out that way!
Make "Complicated" one in next video..
How long did it take you to come up with this 😂😂😂
Years.
You’re right. I’m throwing my tooth brush away right now.
Good call.
Say that to toilet paper
That’s hilarious.
Dude you gotta say more lol
I’m open to any questions!
@@learndesign30you're on a platform where the algorithm is dropping you into random people's feed. These people don't have the foundation from which to "just think about it". This makes the video come off as a tad pretentious. If you extrapolated, not only would you potentially boost engagement, you have the platform to educate.

Where is the lag that is generated by MacKenzie & Ware in this formula ?
If I’m understanding correctly, that can be accounted for in the constants “a” and “b”.
but whats log2?
I would recommend doing some googling on that one. You will find much better answers than I can provide!
Thank you for the clear and succinct explanation! Following you on spotify, these are great tools.

How can I get an STL file?
STL files aren’t available.
Deadlines are GREAT constraints, and with out constraints… effective design is darn near impossible…
Thanks man... Nice explaination
Of course! Thanks for watching.
