This album came up through TH-cam's autoplay. I had heard a little of it when it came out. I'll admit I didn't give it a chance, by then, I has grown to dislike Metallica. It seemed they just couldn't write a good song anymore. Once I really disliked "Load" and "Re-load', but compared to anything after, they seemed like masterpieces. But today, I decided to give this album a new listen, with an open mind. I'm 29 minutes in, and I'm really struggling to avoid moving on to a different video. So far, there's only been one good song, and I'm using the word "good" very liberally. It's true, these guys just can't make music anywhere near the quality of their early work, they've lost that magical spark. I think "Some Kiond of Monster" was the point where they lost it. I'm sure therapy and sobriety made their personal lives better, but it destroyed their artistic ability. It's pretty depressing really, I used to like this band so much.

I hadn't paid attention to the song Halo On Fire, what an amazing sound, very good!!
