686// Are You An Approval Addict? So Was Pilate. How Mark 15 Shows Us Why That is Dangerous
In today’s episode, we explore Mark 15 and uncover the dangers of prioritizing people’s approval over staying true to our purpose. We see how even a powerful figure like Pilate was influenced by the pressure of the crowd, ultimately leading to devastating consequences. This passage challenges us to examine where we may be seeking approval at the expense of our true calling and purpose. Are we willing to stand firm in what we know is right, even if it means going against the tide of popular opinion?

Being betrayed by my husband in ways that I never thought possible and then living the double trauma of people who I thought had my back disappear on me because they could not handle what i was going through has been so hard. I am so grateful to my faith, counsellors and podcasts like this that have helped me go deep in my healing. Your prayer Lysa, is so what I needed to hear and the podcast is inspiring. It's one of the hardest things I've ever had to do as a parent! But she is doing great now. This is an episode I recorded a couple years ago, but I always replay it this time of year because it's something that moms really struggle with in August. But right now, my daughter is actually in Tanzania for a study abroad program. So proud of her, and I think releasing them during the transitions is an important part of parenting, as we learn to trust God with our kids.

If you are wondering about the question of whether your sexuality is a sin or not, I welcome you to consider the following thoughts for clarification. Let’s look at some basic fundamental facts based on extensive research & ongoing R&D. During fetal development a verity of biochemical agents are introduced which determine the development of the fetus. Research has shown that major agents such as testosterone & estrogen & a host of others agents determine size, weight, hair color, eye color & sexuality along with a host of other traits. Variations in the amount & timing of the introduction of these agents have a major effect in development. The fetus is a passive participant & has no influence in these matters. Sexuality, for example, & all other secondary traits are thus given to us. Well, this begs the question, is homosexuality a sin since there is no choice offered. If your religion or belief system states that it is a sin, then there can be no argument. These are the rules based on this system’s dogma. If you accept this system, you must accept the rules. This is your only choice which doesn’t include options & exceptions. Rules are rules! If, however, you are in a belief system based on logic, reason, observation & common sense, & no reliance on spirituality or religion, the conclusion is totally different. Replacing ancient religion & mythology & superstition with reason leads to another conclusion. Leaving religions that use condemnation & ridicule for control, can be the first step in becoming a true human being minus any imposed or fabricated guilt. There exist many variations of human sexual expression as well in the animal kingdom. When you leave various ancient religious beliefs behind & chose knowledge based in research, you can see & understand the true nature of humanity. You leave ignorance, hatred, & prejudice behind. In the book Gay Straight & the Reason Why by Simon Levay PhD, explanations regarding this aspect of humanity are clearly explained & is based on research. While I am not gay, I highly recommend this book & the numerous articles. Being gay is no more of a sin than having red hair. They are both determined by genetics & clearly not a sin. There is nothing wrong with you. This is the true choice. Peace

    (74) THE GOSPEL OF THE WORD OF ALMIGHTY GOD "the Salvation of the last day that Christ brought in the second and last incarnation of the His new and holy name" (Blessed are those who have read My words and believe that they will come true. This is My blessing that comes to you. My words touch the hidden secret in every person; everyone has serious wounds, and I am the good physician who heals them: Just come into My presence. In My presence, you will surely achieve all things, and surely both of you will see and enjoy all the blessings that you cannot even imagine. Beginning of creation the world, I began to predestinate and choose this group of people, which you are now. Your behavior, abilities, appearance, stature, the family you were born into, your work and marriage-the your whole being, even the color of your hair and skin, and the time of your birth-are all arranged by My hands. Even the things you do and the people you meet each day are arranged by My hands, as well which is also the fact that bringing you into My presence today is actually My arrangement.) Almighty God said BLESSED are those WHO have READ My WORDS and BELIEVE them WILL COME TRUE. I WILL NOT CRUELTY YOU; I WILL FULFILL for YOU what YOU BELIEVE. This is my BLESSING COMING to you. 🙏 My WORDS touch the hidden secret in every PERSON; ALL have GREAT WOUNDS, and I am the GOOD PHYSICIAN who HEALS them: just come into My presence. ☀️🙏 WHY do I say in the FUTURE there will be NO SORROW and NO TEARS? Because of this. ☀️ With Me, everything is accomplished, but with people, everything is corrupt, hollow, and deceitful with people. In My presence, you will DEFINITELY ACHIEVE all THINGS, and both of you will DEFINITELY SEE and ENJOY ALL BLESSINGS you can't even imagine. Those who do NOT COME CLOSE to Me are truly rebellious, and truly those who resist Me. I will certainly not pass them lightly; I will punish this kind of people severely. Remember this! 😪 As People COME CLOSER to Me, the more they GET--but it is only GRACE. Later, they will RECEIVE more BLESSINGS. BEGINNING to CREATE the WORLD, I began to PREDESIGN and CHOOSE this GROUP of PEOPLE, which NOW is you. 🙏💐 Your BEHAVIOR, ABILITY, APPEARANCE, HEIGHT, FAMILY, WHERE YOU were BORN, your JOB and MARRIAGE----your WHOLE, even the COLOR of your HAIR and SKIN, and the TIME of YOUR BIRTH- --ARE all ARRANGED by My HANDS. EVEN the THINGS you do and the PEOPLE you MEET EVERY DAY are ARRANGED by My HANDS, as WELL as the TRUTH of BRINGING YOU into My PRESENCE NOW in TRUTH is My ARRANGEMENT. ⚘️🙏 Don't trouble yourself; YOU must PROCEED CALMLY. 🙏 What I ALLOW you to ENJOY NOW is a PART of what you DESERVE, and it is what I DESTINED in the CREATION of the WORLD. 🙏 Everyone is very serious: if they were not so stubborn they would be completely shameless. They cannot accomplish things according to My plan and arrangement. 😪 Don't do it again. In Me, all are set free; do not bind yourself, as there will be a loss with regard to your life. Remember this! 🙏 From "The WORD Appears in the Flesh". holy book Fulfilled in "In the beginning He was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word was God" (John 1:1). ... (Ezekiel 2:9-10). ... and "His garment was stained with blood. He was called the "Word of God" (Rev. 19:13). 📩 All who have "ears to listen" are led to what the Spirit of God is saying in His lowered and built kingdom/Church engraved with His new name, His totality, the ownership of this disposition, "THE CHURCH OF ALMIGHTY GOD "💐 fulfillment from what was said He to Peter 2,000 years ago recorded in (Matthew 16:18-19). His Coming is the fulfillment of all that was prophesied in the great book of Revelation, so the last "Salvation" He brought the whole truth, the way for eternal life. So the "victorious" ones who will receive them are the wise "virgins" because as recorded in the prophecy of His return no one knows it except the one who will receive it! So "come" and come to His kingdom/church standing in the holy place in the air/TH-cam! This is also a fulfillment from the book of (Isaiah 2:2/9:6) which He first fulfilled in His first incarnation. 📥 "They say with a loud voice, "Salvation comes from the Lamb, and from our God who sits on the Throne!" (Rev. 7:10). ... and (Isaiah 2: 2 / 9:6) "On the Last Day, the mountain on which Jehovah's temple stands will stand out above all the mountains. All nations will flock there. " . "For a baby boy is born to us. The rule will be given to him; and he shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Almighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." 📤

I was upset when my Dad suddenly passed away. I did question God" Why" because we were supposed to see him the following week. But I don't think I actually got mad at God. I was hurt, but I knew where my Daddy was at.

So thankful you had that assurance, and that you can take comfort knowing you will see him again one day!

I have been burnt out before and it's not a good feeling. I was so busy in the church. I had to learn to say " no" even when I didn't want to. God gave me the gift of mercy and it's very hard to deny someone their requests. But God finally convicted me that I can say "no" sometimes. I was a young mother, teacher in the school full time, church pianist and my husband was serving overseas at the time . I was exhausted!

By the way, listening to you talk about Five Lakes coffee for the past month or so, I ended up ordering some the other day. I am grateful for the 20% off code. It's supposed to be here on Saturday. I can't wait to try it as much as you have pumped it up.😁

Oh yay! We love it. My daughter works at the most popular coffee shop there is.... and we all prefer 5 Lakes! And I love that they are believers. Their wives have a ministry and they are just such a nice family. And... the coffee is so good! We have re-ordered it twice now!

I agree! I never realized how much of the Bible was poetry before! We talk about more poetry in the Love, Sex, and the Bible series we did earlier this year, you may want to check it out! Blessings!

I did a devotional on this story of Hannah after I found out I was pregnant with my daughter. Love her heart and sacrifice of giving her son to God. She was an amazing woman and mom!

I always wondered why Naomi wanted her daughter -in-laws to go back to the land of Moab when she knew they needed to worship God Almighty.

I knew Pharaoh 's men died, but did Pharoah cross the sea and die too? I didn't think he did.

I have never heard about the plant that deterred crocodiles. That's very smart of Jochebed! I know God is the one that gave her that wisdom.
