I am officially done with the Breakfast Sticks channel, I feel I quit a while ago, I have not been bothered to properly create for this channel for over a year now. It's definitely time to give a final and proper ending to this channel.
I quit because of an overall dislike for my previous videos and a lack of drive to continue videos on this channel. I'll probably try TH-cam again some time, but it won't be on this channel and I would be taking a very different approach.

The final song I'll upload here. my 99th video, so next is the 100th. This is the most time and effort I have put into a track, I spend a lot of time ensuring it was good.
Some synth sound design practice

Decided to practice some synth stuff, most of these instruments are made using Vital. I had a lot of fun messing about with the Vital plugin it's incredibly powerful and it's even free! Was inspired by carpenter brut's work with this song, I didn't quite match up to his standards which is expected. But I do think I made something that actually sounds alright and at least similar to his stuff.

My second song. Had better idea of what's going on here so it's a bit better. I added the cello volume automation when coming back to the song to upload it. It's meant to be a method to make string instruments sound more realistic or something like that but I have no idea how to properly do it. so who knows if I did this actually any good lol.

I’m still very new to music so I may not have the best advice. I begun making music cause I was very interested in the music commonly seen in video games and seeing smaller channels making some really cool stuff with fl studio really inspired me to finally get into it. I don’t actually know a instrument, only a little bit of keyboard knowledge. I just downloaded fl studio and studied some music theory through TH-cam tutorials. Once I was confident enough I bought the full version and begun making stuff.

What did you sample the bell from? Or did you use a vst? I’ve wanted a bell that sounds like that for so long after listening to the calamity OST
Hello fellow calamity fan! The bell I used was the tubular bell from the tohou sound font, from my research I do believe it is the same one as the calamity OST uses. The bells were very much inspired by the calamity soundtrack, such a cool percussion sound!

I don’t think it’s a masterpiece. But I’m glad you think so!
Honestly, its a pretty good track for a complete first timer. All you gotta do is get a hang of properly adjusting each instruments' volumes (mixing), and get a sense on what notes sound good together. I would suggest listening to music more often and try to analyze the instruments in them by ear, it would def help you get a sense of what type of production sounds good. (Learning music theory also helps!!!) all in all, I am sure you would improve very fast good going! (just to make it clear I am in no way a professional at this :P)
Thanks so much for the advice! I have made sure to understand music theory basics but only the very basics, being self taught and all I’m bound to have gaps in my knowledge. I’ll make sure to catch up! Mixings certainly something I will take into consideration, I will try my hardest to improve random stranger 🫡
