Total rubbish boiler. I made the mistake of replacing my working old combi boiler with one of these, because of the grant. Always dripped out of the flue. Then radiators stopped holding pressure and started dripping out of the relief valve outside. Then the hot water stopped working, while the heating still worked. Then the relief valve on top of the boiler started leaking into the boiler. Finally died because both boiler fuses keep blowing. My old boiler worked for decades without being touched. The fittings/valves used on new "modern" boilers are such cheap cr@p, they are designed to fail in a very short time. Even if the basic boiler design is sound. What little "efficiency" savings you make, are dwarfed by repair bills.

This would be very confusing for someone trying to get wi fi in their garden shed as the info it mixing up the power supply cable and a device that is built to transmit wi fi wirelessly from a source within the house to a point a distance away up to 300metres as stated...

Cannot get it undone at all. It'll turn some of the way and then stuck fast

Is this on a pressurised/ invented system?

I made the same mistake once... First i tried antifreeze so it wouldn't boil but it only worked up to a point...i had to make a leg out to a crawl space that wasnt insulated and was kinda cold and ran 2 or 3 2ft sections of base bord elements and an auqastat and a 007 pump to only come on when needed , it worked pretty good and killed 2 bird's with 1 stone

Pipe stat on the return is all that’s needed to operate the pump not a timer .

Hi there all the way from sunny Aberdeen. To someone who has an 1871 house and run my house heating on wood with a 25 kw stove . You are giving yourself an amazing amount of work an messing about turning radiators on and off. Your system is in my opinion too small . My house is only two story with 20 radiators. I have a thermal store water tank which holds 300 litres the flow and return going to the stove the hot water rises to the tank . The water in the tank is pumped through the radiators and returns to the bottom of the tank where it then goes to by gravity to the bottom of the boiler. The tank has a solar coil in the bottom of the tank worked off 2 solar thermal panels on the roof for heating the hot water in the summer when the stove is off. The gas boiler only heats the water in the tank when the stove is not being used.To someone who has been using wood since 2006 your system seems very complicated and require you to personally supervise it . Think you could improve on it as I am certain you wife will find it complex . Best of luck

It's difficult in the dark to see which switch you've used to turn off your battery. My inverter needs a restart. I can easily see the ac dc isolators, but on the Giv Bat 9.5 battery where is the on/off switch; I can only see the dip switches. Thanks

Very interesting set up. I have an unvented system heated by gas. I want to swap out my gas fireplace with a multiburner with a back boiler. Ive heard so many safety concerns and really need to find a team that knows their stuff to see if its feasible to set the stove up with my current system. Ideally in the future i would want to get u derfloor heating instead of radiators so 😅 I am in Bury, north manchester if it is close to you

We had a back boiler at our first house ,unfortunately it didnt have rads but just heated the hot water .Our second place had no back boiler but the sad thing was directly behind the fire in the kitchen there was the oil central heating system so had the builder fitted a back boiler it would have been the best of both worlds .This place had a back boiler but the council removed it and installed gas. I forsee your lovely fire being banned ,if you burn wood your not paying the government as you are with all the other fuels and they wont like that .

the rads that work on gravity acting as your failsafe do they also get a boost from the pump,or are they gravity only i cant work out how your getting both pumped and gravity to your saftey rads

Is a water pressure reducer on line?I could see some device. Different way for defo I would instal water pressure reducer if comes from mains water not from gravity tank.

The size of the holes inside that read are not an issue. The istis the lack of a flow diverter. It fits in the bottom of the rear and blocks flow from just rushing straight through the bottom and returning to the boiler. The 10mm pipe is not great but it's not the problem. With a baffle fitted it will work fine.

These verticl radiators have a top and bottom they usually have a restictor in bpttom rail to stop flow going straight out to return the use of plastic pipe is not good that close to a boiler doesnt even look good. Another way is to use top and bottom entry

Very interesting video, what is the make and name of the woodburner?. Can you show a schematic drawing of your system showing how its plumbed with the combi boiler please.

Is this still working? Is the expansion vessel in the boiler still working? Does the pressure release valve operate when water is that hot ? Planning on doing this so would be great to know if you have upgraded pressure vessel and prv over the years of operation with stove ?

Thank you for this video. I couldn’t figure out why my replacement filter was leaking. Nowhere in the installation instructions does it say you need to cut a bit off the end of the piping that you’ve taken out of the old filter. Did that and no leak, thanks for the super useful content 😊

This fan is not safe they overheat and cause a fire or even get so hot that the plug melts to the socket of the extension cable which happened to me I had to throw away both

Thanks for the review - not many real reviews available. Have you got the fancy auto unlock feature that unlocks the doors automatically when you walk up to it? Just thinking this may be draining the battery. Ive got the nissan version on order. The equivalent Transit is 30-40% more expensive and they have the wet belt issue.

Awesome info in this video buddy, I was thinking I could set up a solar bank just for heating the hottub and some garden and exterior power, This video has confirmed I need more power than I was first thinking, I thought I could get away with 2 -4 panels and a couple of batteries, but may need more by the sounds of it, I know the lazy spas use 2050 kwh when heating so need a good sized battery and more panels to charge
