Great video! Yes- most of us are incurable guitar collectors, and many of us are looking for that one guitar that is unlike any of our other guitars. The Bartlett models look like a cross between a Les Paul and a Gretsch. I have a Gretsch solid body, and while I chose it over the Les Paul for its more versatile sound, I really like the softened lines of it. Don’t feel guilty about the D’Angelico headstock- I thought the same thing. To me, it looks like it belongs on top of a grandfather clock more than on a guitar. I do like their designs, though, with a touch of Art Deco style in the body lines.

That strat is so 60s, aint I right? The scooped tone goes very very well with this rv6 setting

I had the pleasure of meeting Joe and witnessing him perform at the Regal room above The Distillers pub in Hammersmith a few years ago and I was blown away by his talent and speaking to him afterwards concluded that he is probably one of the nicest geniuses I have ever met….absolutely no edge to him whatsoever…..

2:11 did you add a DM-2 or DM-3 here? I’ve only gotten this sound in those two pedals

I have a reproduction of a Gibson Moderne, and an original late 90's Jackson Roswell. I have 91 other guitars - but they are all boring traditional shaped stuff - except for my experimental guitar builds - well, I do have a V, and I used to have a Randy Rhodes, but they're not very ergonomic (like V's). BC Rich probably pushed the envelope more than anybody else on non-traditional body shapes. What you'd call an odd shape I'd call boring traditional.

I don't know why you got your like button disabled. Because you seem like a solid TH-camr, and that's coming from a guy who thinks there are too many TH-cam guitarists.

My faves are my black/gold Rivolta Combinata like yours but with tremolo… the Yamaha Revstar is also fantastic and affordable for the quality.

I bought last week my Boss RV6 brand new unit, aiming for a neunaber immerse mkii but i gave it a shot. Was never disappointed at Boss. Turning down the tone to zero at shimmer is the sweet spot, i am adding a Boss tremolo or an Ibanez analog chorus mini.

love to hear your voice .could be an extra string in your bow .and give you an edge performing . and if your voice passes muster writing stuff you're really passionate about that you can emotionally engage with ,or the audience can connect with you through your and lyrics .you're going to have to be more vulnerable to do this and really impact people

That Epiphone Moderne is my kind of funky. I really wanted one when they came out. They were only $600 at the time, but I couldn't afford it or even justify the cost if I'd been able to, since I can barely play, even still.

Hey man, great video! I was wondering if you were to take a boost pedal (take an EP booster, or a boss ds-1 with the gain all the way rolled off), and you were to boost that into the AU-79, would this get you into the same or similar amount of saturation as you would get from the golden fleece? And when boosting, would it still clean up equally well (or comparably well)? I like the flexibility of the less gain from the pedal, but I would still like to get the stronger fuzz tones from it. Thanks so much in advance, keep doing what you do! :)

I love that pedal but I stopped using it for few months. I started using it again and it sounds it not working except the shimmer.

You're right, Shimmer: you hate it or you love it... me personally, I love it! Especially in arpeggios. Go and listen to "Interlude", a wonderful track from "TheXenon" and tell me what you think... Cheers 😀👋
