You must work under any care setting organization here in the UK in order to qualify the SIFE route.

@navsandhu5096 No, you don’t need to. You only need a certificate that verifies you graduated in the English medium. My university help me to get this.

The SIFE reference must be provided by your line manager, who should be an NMC registrant at NHS Band 6 (or non-NHS equivalent) or above. Your manager completing SIFE must have worked closely with you and have been able to observe your clinical interactions, in English, with people who use services, their families, carers, and other healthcare professionals.

@@itsmerubisha I spoke to them this morning as it’s a private nursing home band system doesn’t work for other staff as it’s not counted as nhs po vannu hunxa but manager huna ko lagi band 6nai hunu parxa re ,rest of the staffs band doesn’t count can you please explain me what does non nhs equivalent means as they think they come under non nhs equivalent

​@@suzupandey5829 See my email. WHO CAN DO SIFE? FIRST LINE MANAGER - The one who worked with you for the last 12 months to assess your language to complete the SIFE form (Listening & Speaking). They should be equivalent to NHS BAND 6, 7, 8 or NON-NHS equivalent (Deputy manager, clinical lead, practice lead, home manager) with their managerial job role in your CURRENT work setting. DIRECTOR OF NURSING - The one who countersigns your SIFE form. They should be Band 8 & above (Manager, Regional manager, Director, etc.) from your current employer. It's not mandatory that the countersignatory should know or work with you, but they should be from the same CURRENT employer or different branches currently working. Both managers should be NMC PIN holders and permanent staff.

If you are still doubtful dont worry, NMC will reject your details but that wont hamper you can again update your information and retry.

You need to provide the required information as requested in the Health Declaration form, such as Name, Email Address, Telephone Number, and Address. However, I didn’t complete my health declaration through a GP. Instead, I had the assessment done by a qualified healthcare professional in Nepal. From what I understand, some GPs in the UK may charge for this assessment, but it entirely depends on their policies. Please confirm that first.
