I’m considering this bike and I thank you for the little things you addressed that no others have mentioned like the TFT black and white screen in different light , the indicators etc . I love the colour of your machine,,,,, On my Him ,I fitted a usb socket+heated grip wires and also ran a garmin sat nav wire ,,I got it all tie wrapped up really neatly down the frame connected up to the battery only to discover I could not get the tank back on (and it was also full) I hate mucking around with the tank on this bike ,,it the pits What a faff !!! anyway all is good and everything worked on my European tour....cheers

I just stumbled upon your channel 😁, excellent content and presentation 👌. I have just come back to motorcycling having just retired. I had no idea what I wanted with my limited budget, but when a good mate told me he was selling his RE Interceptor, my eyes opened wide. I've never, in my 40 years riding, ever ridden a RE, but oh my goodness, what a lot of bike for that price point. Mine also has quite a lean on the side stand so I've fitted an ice hockey puck, which not only stands it up a bit, but also gives a bigger footprint if using the stand on grass. I have a huge smile on my face every time I go out, and the bike really does turn heads. Thank you for taking the time to share your adventures with us 🎉

I thought you would know that the usb was there its surprising how many people don't because as you know it is quit awkward to get too. Yes agree so annoying when we splash out and have to spend time making what ever it is fit. Great Vids👌

Nice video and well done for getting it all sorted. I don't like faffing with electricals and its always nervy turning on for the 1st time! I also have the thunderbox fitted to my scram to save splicing wires. Shame about the drop. I'd be livid! Well done for taking in your stride!

I appreciate a tidy installation, and that's a nice job. More than one of my bikes have fainted post-op, so you're not alone!

If the lights are spots the need to be aligned like the headlamp is also the switch will need to be on the bars to pass the MOT. I fitted the Oxford daylight lights no wiring loom 30mins to fit and very eye catching. £40

Hi i just stumbled upon your video and enjoyed it very much sorry you dropped there bike and like you say it happens to us all at times. I have the same colour i think it looks great and in the year of ownership i haven't come across another in this colour on the road only seen them in the dealerships. Back to your video if you were only 3 inches short could you not have extended the ends to reach the battery to save you re doing the whole lot? Having said that handlebars can look cluttered with all these add ons so putting the switch where you did was a good idea. Did you know that there is already a USB socket fitted to the Euro 5 Himalayans even my dealership did not realise this i just found mine by accident its in a very cramped position under the clutch lever with a little hinged flap over it. Good luck with the bar replacement i will subscribe to watch this as i fancy upgrading mine because as you now know they are very weak👍

The new Himalayan is an improvement in many ways over the 411 but there is something special that I can't put my finger on about the 411. I have decided to hang onto my 411 in the short term as it feels like "home" after riding other bikes with the little mods I've made to suit me . The money to change and equip the 452 to the same level as my 411 would be quite high as resale values for the 411 are really low at the moment with many dealers here not interested in PX. I found the same issues on the 452 (side stand leaning too far and unable to tell if the indicators were still on)

Great video and channel. I have a couple of bike including a Himmi 450. The oxford lights are brilliant, cars can't get out of the way quick enough! With regards to fitting extra electrical bits and bobs, a lot of folk now seem to use a healtech thunderbox, which you fit to the battery, and all the extra wires from extra things plug simply into the connectors that eminate from the thunderbox itself. it eliminates the need to splice wires in to the loom of the bike. (i have no affiliation with the company by the way), I found it easy to set up and use). Regards, Chris.

Looking good. Pre-made wiring kits are always just a bit short or so long that you could go around the bike twice. I just bought the lights and made my own loom. Bit more effort but everything is the right length. I've fitted so much stuff to my 411, I replaced the headlight and indicators with LED to lighten the load on the poor thing. I put 5W LED daylight running lights (DRL) where you put yours, they are on all the time. I've had comments that I was still visible in a clouds of dust in the Australian outback. 10W LED driving lights are mounted on each side of the screen. I like its an easy bike to fit electric farkles to. No CAN BUS to worry about unlike my GS when I had it.

I have had a set of similar lights still in the box since May. Winter's on its way, even here in the S of France, so I'd better get them fitted!! Well done with all the wiring AND with picking the bike up! (Mirror, 7 years bad luck!!! 😱 )

Fantastic lights, though as you say the wiring should be longer, still you found a good place for the switch. I'm impressed that you're comfortable in working on your bike 👍 Will you ride it throughout winter?

Hi, nice video, did you do the Devils Staircase?...it's jus a few miles from the phone box..also altering the gearing on your bikes will effe t the speedo and odometer accuracy, tyre wear makes a small difference too....not to mention different lines on corners....👍

Birmingham on sea! Surprised you didn’t need to take a translator - even as one I’ll admit Brummie can be difficult to understand! Horrible road through Bristol too - but the beach can be worth it

A day at the seaside, ice cream and chips sounds really great, not so great are stroppy bike hating locals and traffic jams!

They were a one of a handful of tyres recommended to me by the guy that fits all my motorcycle tyres. Getting matching front and rear is a bit of a challenge as I like matching tyres.

Useful parts fitted to the Himmy. I've done a few mods to mine to suit me. Our cats get treated like royalty and spoilt rotten!

I came across your channel as a TH-cam recommendation, and as a 411 Himalayan owner, I have subscribed. Some beautiful scenery in the Elan Valley, I must go down there and find a b&b and tour around.

I love our adventure rides out ,this was an epic mileage with loads to see and loads of laughs, bring on the next one xx

I chugged along that section of the Ridgeway on my Himalayan a couple of weeks ago, 🙂 although I was riding in the opposite direction, away from the white horse hill.

I carnt believe how easy tree root alley looked on camara ,maaan that was hard going . amazing day carnt wait to go again xx
