I saw them on this tour in OC, MD at a joint called the Back of the Rack pressed right against the stage. Huge JPP fan and it was an incredible show.

What a great set, sound quality is amazing!! Crespo era Aerosmith was definitely capable of kicking serious ass! Surprised Lightning Strikes was the only song off RIAHP.

Thanks a lot for this great recording. The sound is pristine and instrumentally they sound great. Many people say that Jimmy was scared because he had to play Joe's leads every night and that Rick was a crazy guy who didn't know how to play the guitar, but that cannot be further from the truth. Both guitarists are extremely great. In the other hand, Steven (as he would say) is "gacked up to the nine" and sounds surprisingly good for a guy who was on such a "nutritious" diet of coke and heroin. Also, let's not forget the contribution from the late Bob Mayo on keyboards. The atmosphere that he provides during Dream on and Lightning strikes is mystical. BTW, from the beginning of the Sweet Emotion coda to the end of Lightning Strikes the audio is in mono, why is that so? Also, did they plan to release this and the South Yarmouth concert as a live album?
