My advise: Don’t confuse the Windows command prompt with MS DOS.

This is not a video about MS DOS. Sorry bro, this is the Windows command prompt light years far from MS DOS. CMD/Powershell have a lot of Windows commands that not exist in MS DOS. Only some Windows commands have the same name of the DOS commands, but it execute different. MS DOS is using the Real Address Mode of the CPU and the text mode of the graphic card, but Windows use the protected mode of the CPU and a graphic mode of the graphic card. This is a significant difference.

If you want to use MS DOS, you have to boot MS DOS and not to boot a modern Windows, or you can install an emulator like DosBox. DosBox emulates a PC with MS DOS 5 and an intel 80386/80387 CPU/FPU. I am a DOS hobby programmer and i made some videos(no speech) to show how DosBox looks like.

CMD is a Windows executable made to run in 32 bit or 64 bit Windows only, but CMD is not made to run in 16 bit MS DOS.
