Cold Steel SRK SK-5 Review: Budget Friendly Win

One quick note, the SK-5 model can be found for closer to $35. At that price, it is hard to think of any flaw or issue. I highly recommend this knife as a "one and done" option.

    Natural honey is one of my top items to have on hand. It's great as a sweater for food, it's great for sore throats and fighting off colds and has antibacterial properties which make it good for wounds when other medical supplies run low. Plus it just has a very long shelf life.

    I bought the nicer and dropped it! you're right, it does break fairly easy so I decided today to buy the rite in the rain. I will say that the nicpro was fun to write with and I like their lead but I'm wondering if I can use the nicpro lead in the rite in the rain pencil. I don't see why not.

    This flashlight doesn't have 4 modes and it gets extremely hot while holding it. It makes me think it's about to explode in my hand. Returning it in the morning from Target.

    • @AdventureswDucky
      @AdventureswDucky 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      CR123 batteries have a tendency to get warm when in use. They perform well for their size, but heat is created as a byproduct. As long as you don't mix the batteries, it should be fine. I'd recommend looking into a rechargeable light over this one, to be honest. Many rechargeable flashlights offer similar or better performance at roughly the same cost.

    • @user-bu9ye7gq1v

      @@AdventureswDucky You're welcome. I'd really enjoy your opinion of the Spanish -Joker Bushcraft Bushcrafter CV120, micarta Handle, 4.13 inches Blade of Böhler N695 Steel, with Black Leather Sheath and Paracord 550. It seems too good to be true for the affordable price of $90. Knife Center gave it a positive review but it's too new to the market for many comprehensive opinions.

    • @AdventureswDucky
      @AdventureswDucky ปีที่แล้ว

      @BTB While not something I would consider purchasing due to lack of interest, it does look like it has potential. The specifications look promising, the handle looks to be going for simple ergonomics, and sheath looks very good. Prices on everything are all over the place. A few factors on why the price is where it is could be the steel being basically mid grade at this point, micarta is far more common, and the place of origin is Spain. Purchase from a seller with a good return policy just to be safe but if it interests you then buy as you wish.

    Shrapnel997 : Do these blades feel tight? Like will they snap back down on your hand if a little pressure is applied? I'm looking for a pocket knife w/ box cutter similar to this. The blade w/ the somewhat blunt end works in a pinch as a flat head screw driver. Nice review.

    • @AdventureswDucky

      Get something with minimal decorations on the handle because the glue sucks. The edge retention was sub par but the springs were acceptable. If anything pick a few and use the best one and display the rest.

    delica for a juice is a good trade. i have the c2 and i like it. i have the squirt ps4 and style cs and theyre too big for keychain use, too small for pocket to me so im trying to integrate them into an altoids tin maybe for bag carry or light use. at work and going out i dont usually do enough to need a wave or the surge that i have and im a big fan of the skeletool so i run those or the juice. i keep the wingman in the car. liked it at first but prefer something slimmer for pocket carry. i think its well suited for a car multi tool for a just in case.

    man i lost my wallet at a bar last weekend so i hit ross and got a cheap bi fold. i like a slim wallet but im not wild about this one but since i spent the 12 bucks on it i dont want to buy another one until i have to. i do like that pen idea. i smoke so i ill save my next empty bic lighter and fashion one up for myself. i have a leatherman brewzer too as well as a gerber shard on one of my keychains. since youre in college i think you will get a lot of use out of that rebar. nice choice with the rebar. have you put a 14500 in that coast hx5? i like eneloop rechargeables for long runtime but if you want output 14500 rechargeables will get you hooked on the brightness! it will get hot pretty quick though. i love hate the manix 2 also lol! after watching you close the presidio and me playing with my manix 2 the lock takes way more than the benchmade does to close it and i dont like that either! that landslide is nice! i also like that you got it in orange. very nice knife rotation. ill stay tuned in if you make more videos. audio is a little low but that might just be on my end. i think your gear is well versed for life, work, and college so im going to subscribe

    nice benchmades man. i like spyderco and zt myself. i personally like flippers right now. i still like waves and spyderholes. i really like the compression lock found on the pm2 and now the sage 5. since we are not doing price i will leave out the grimso norseman, graham razel, large sebenza, and microtech halo v. okay so i wont buy the spyderco sage 5 with compression lock because its smaller than the pm2 and i like big knives. ideally i want a compression lock military that i can carry tip up, or just a 4in pm2. i wont buy the we 601 because it doesnt seem any better than my zt0450. i would opt for the 0452cf because its larger and i like the cf scale. i wont buy a benchmade griptilian because i actually prefer the endura and delica more. i like that spyderco has slimmer handle scales. and then theres the spyderco police model. some honorable mentions ill say are i wont buy a benchmade 710 because i prefer the spyderco military. i would like to try a benchmade 940...i may buy one eventually. lately ive been moving away from assisted knives and wanting a smoother action. i really like how knives on ikbs bearings open and close but disassembly is not something im looking forward to. i also want to say i wont buy a karambit because im not a knife fighter, but if i were i bet itd be different for me. im also trying to get into sharpening so recurves and serrations are something im staying away from for my new knife purchases. sorry i went a little overboard with this haha
