Thank you for the video! My son‘s new car needs a thermostat, with your video I think we can be successful! Does it matter if this is a 3.8 L or a 3.4 L? We have a 2005 3.4 L Chevy Impala.

Thank you, really needed to see this video. it had a really good camera angle and I didn’t see any one else take of the throttle body on the other videos.
What engine I'd this? My 3.8 is wide open at the thermostat. Like, I have not had this much room to work on anything in this whole MF engine...lol. I only ask because when I am watching videos, I can try to figure out how much different it is on mine and then go from there
Just finished. Your video was awesome. Last bolt just before the you pull out the thermostat was a pain. It was so narrow I couldn't get my 13mm socket in there. Other than that you can do this fast.
Just replaced my thermostat today using your guide. I can’t imagine doing this without removing the throttle body. Even after taking it out, the bottom bolt on the thermostat housing is still a tight squeeze.
Im yet to change my stat but im about to.. i have really big hands so takeing apart the throttle body is a must for me thank u for the video ur the man C ..😎
It's always a good idea to replace the ECT sensor that's right next to the thermostat on the left,,, unplug and you'll need a 3/4"deep socket of your choice to remove it,,, it's been known to go bad shortly after a thermostat does,, it's worth the extra 2 minutes and $20 to replace whole you have everything apart so you won't have to pull it all apart again to replace the sensor,, when that sensor goes bad it affects 4 or 5 other things that sends hard fault codes into the ECM that'll cost a ton of money in diagnostics time in a shop!! Your welcome!!
This was so helpful!!!! Thank you so much!!!! I do all my mechanical work and it was hard for me to find the easiest way and this by far was the best for me!! Again Thank you so much!!!! 💕
I have a 2003 impala (same color car) and I have done all of the things you have done but I am having trouble with putting it on..do I need something to conceal it
