My home-built, extensively modified and driven Holden Torana has been nominated for Street Machine Of The Year 2024, and we figured it would be a good time to talk about the story behind this build and some of the reasons it's in contention for this coveted award.
The competition is always ridiculously tough and it's a huge honour to be part of the field. But I want to fly the flag as high as I can for a dedicated hobbyist owner-builder, who has built a high-impact vehicle presented in some of the best car display halls in Australia, while being properly functional, and having proved that with over 10 days of competition motorsport, plus versatile road use including many interstate trips with 28,000km on the clock, and many more to go.
