Stopping extinction - The race against time to save Pinna nobilis
A mysterious epidemic attacked Pinna nobilis, the large bivalve endemic to the Mediterranean. Scientists from the LIFE Pinna project are doing everything possible to save this iconic species from extinction. First version of the project documentary, LIFE20 NAT/IT/001122 PINNA "Conservation and re-stocking of the Pinna nobilis in the western Mediterranean and Adriatic Sea". A Triton Research production, with financial support from the European Union's LIFE program. Filmed by Marco Tessaro.
