Fish On!
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 10 ต.ค. 2016
Bass fishing and occasional other outdoor activities. An Auburn graduate and avid fan, I’m also a retired US Navy officer (Civil Engineer Corp and Naval Flight Officer), a supporter of Veteran outdoor activities, and I enjoy taking vets fishing. I frequently fish the Potomac River between Arlington and Aquia Creek in Virginia and occasionally other bodies of water such as Buggs Island / Lake Kerr, Lake Gaston, the Chickahominy River, and Lake Anna. I started making my own plastic baits in 2018 and now exclusively use my own Senkos (I can call them that because I have an official Gary Yamamoto Senko mold) and trick worms, along with some swim baits, craws, drop shots, and creature baits. I run a 2001 Triton TR21 with. 2021 Mercury Pro XS 250.
Accomplishing this goal took four years: PRS Rimfire

Lake Anna - Last tournament of the year for me.
I think the dock owner was making all of it up. I think he knew he was well in the wrong and was worried you were going to press charges so he immediately came up with a sob story to tell the cop about why he did it.
Probably so. Thanks for the comment.
As for the spinners , if you lose that many try Temu. I've seen 50 for $10.
@@devildogfishing thanks for the tip. The ones I’ve made have been lasting much longer. The center lock pin is larger.
Boy! You showed that homeowner who's boss, Old Fisherman. You must be very proud of yourself when you could have simply moved to another spot.
Why allow a bully to continue to be a bully?
Great shooting Brad! Technique looked really good and that 3rd place is awesome. Nice to see your hard work pay off isn't it? sub'd.
Thanks, that means a lot coming from you. I noted a few areas I can improve, which is the main reason I record the footage.
Great Stuff Brad! glad to see it!
Thanks!
Congratulations Brad!
Thank you!
This has got to be a great way to meet people and these dock owners must just be miserable people!
Let’s make the douche bag home owner famous.
Remember folks, he owns this area, the water and the fish in this area. So stop stealing his fish.
@@WSOJ3 so he wants everyone to think anyway!
white dudes are bugged out
That sure looks like fun! You can see who goes at it with confidence, and who's just a bit unsure. Your rifle sure looks high-tech, and that War Eagle is a nice touch.
Thanks. It is a lot of fun!
If anyone should be ticketed, it should be the dock owner, for that focking leaf blower.
Thanks for the comment!
The sheriff has absolutely zero jurisdiction on the water!!
They didn't have jurisdiction over this event, true, but they do have some jurisdiction on the water in Virginia. I frequently see the Sheriff and County police patrolling the waterways and checking for safety equipment here.
Typical rich folk behavior
Maybe stop building so much B.S. on public water.
Must have been a Crimson Tide fan 🤣🤣
That or UGA!
I wish a DNR employee in plain clothes would come out with these fishermen and surprise these snobby assholes and show their badges. That’ll shut them up!
I love that you didn't back down at all. Great job....
Thanks!
Do not hit the dock but a hole lake and you go right upon his dock if I was him I would put the leave blower in the water lol no more fish
Theway you have spaced the letters is VERY hard to read.
That’s been mentioned a few times. It wsn’t a choice, the editing software did it that way. I’ve gone to voice over in newer videos.
Nice job Brad. That is awesome, especially out there on the Potomac.
Thanks!
Imagine working your entire life just to own waterfront property then circling it like a guard dog while someone is fishing. Too funny. This man wishes he had time to fish. He’s too busy with his possessions. No time to just enjoy….
Exactly!
Who taught that kid how to handle the fish he catches?
He was pretty new to fishing. I’ve been working with him over time. We all have to start somewhere.
I have had this same experience. I know I can legally fish docks but sometimes it's not worth the confrontation. You have the whole lake to fish. One dock ain't worth it. I actually have more confrontation with other fishermen than dock owners. Some tournament fishermen especially, think they can cut you off and fish ahead of you because they are fishing a tournament. I usually crank up and pull in front of them. Here's where they have to make a choice. Go somewhere else or play leap frog with me all day.
I agree with you in large part and the fishing there was definitely not worth the hassle. That being said, I strongly feel that individually we have to stand up for our rights. If we cave in to every Ken/Karen, pretty soon those rights will go away. Fish On!
Screw that dock owner, he is an angry little elf.He does not own the public waters or even the land or water under his dock.
Amen!
The fact that the dispatcher knows the anglers number reveals a lot. Not that he was breaking a law.
The dispatcher knew my boat number because the dock owner reported it.
Dude's probably a cop lol
I really hope not!
I give Karen's the silent treatment
Generally the right move.
@@FishOn1 I don't even acknowledge them.
Damn Yankees act the same way when they come down south and buy lake property. They're just loud mouthed jerks that think they own the whole lake.🥱
WAR EAGLE 🦅
War Eagle!
karens & kens make me snicker....their never happy unless everybody else is as sour as they are.....sad sad people...
Very true!
He's lucky the fisherman didn't pull out a pew pew.
The fisherman wouldn’t do that without justification but was prepared to if it came to that.
In Michigan, you call the POACHER HOTLINE to report fisherman harassment, THAT teaches them to stop. Document every incident officially. After that 2nd encounter you should have called the police back, even though he knows he's wrong he's gonna think he can get away with it again cuz you didn't.
Unfortunately, we don;t have an option like this in VA that I know of. I'm not sure what you mean by the 2nd encounter. I've not been back around this dock. The fishing was not that good.
Lol, I love the immediate "bulls**t" call to his 10 feet comment.
Thanks. That might have triggered him. It wasn’t my intent, but I couldn’t take the blatant lie.
gramps could catch some fuckin fish 💯
Way to go Brad! Congratulations on the win! Like I often say, "Bass Fishing is pulling them out of the grass", especially on the Potomac. The Ozark Rig was putting in some work.
@@134rwa thanks. It was a good day!

@@allkindsofoutdooractivities thank you!
@@FishOn1 You are so welcome!
Bill Dance intro.
So basically you did nothing but take his crap. I must be an a hole. Because I not only would have sworn out the warrant; but. I also would have called a hand full of friends with boats to meet me there every day for a week. To fish by his dock.
@@robert4747 you can see it that way. I’ve got a full time job, family, and several hobbies. It was not worth my time, money, and effort to have to drive to court one hour each direction, probably multiple times.
For one, he called the wrong agency. Sheriff has no jurisdiction to enforce anything has to call fish and wildlife or game warden depending on the state you're in. Indiana, we have DNR Department of Natural resources
@@craigklingenberger1782 you’re somewhat correct, but sherif in VA does have jurisdiction over this type of thing if they choose to. They actually run boat checks on this lake.
@FishOn1 sheriff can run numbers, and that's it as long as the boat is registered. He can't ask for any ID or anything until your boat hits the road away from the water or sheriff can call game warden to assist him 🤔 that has jurisdiction.
@@craigklingenberger1782 I don't believe that is true in VA. I've personally seen them checking for floatation devices and other items on the water.
You're insane if you think a hundred yards away is too close. You're just out of line on this one, man.
In general, I think 100 yards is the minimum. In this case, he was barely outside 100 yards, but since this is the next dock in line and this area is almost exclusively people fishing docks, I don't think it was appropriate and I would not have done it. Your opinion may be different, at least until it happens to you. He had plenty of room to come in behind me and either continue to fish behind me or fish the other direction.
Perfectly acceptable on another boat fishing that dock. This is the problem with social media everyone wants to get on and bitch about other people. That is one of the biggest community docks on the river!!
Disagree. When someone is headed toward a dock another angler shouldn’t cut in.
@@FishOn1 that dock is more than 100 yards away, you don’t have the right to all the docks in that cove because you are fishing one!!
@@anthonybuzzeo1218it is barley 100 yards away and it is the next dock in line. You are correct that I don’t have the right to all of the docks but I do have the right to the next dock in line. A respectful person would come in behind rather than cutting in front of
@@FishOn1 it’s over 100 yards. I can’t believe you’re upset for someone pulling in 100 yards ahead of you. That’s the length of a football field and we’re upset about that?
@@anthonybuzzeo1218 upset? No. Consider it unsporting, yes. Distance is not the only indicator of right and wrong. It is literally the next dock in line.
Come on man, that dock (party barge) is 100 yards away from the dock you're on. Nobody is being rude or encroaching here. There's some extremely bad etiquette on the river but this just isn't a good example.
I’ll grant you that it is a little ways away, but I don’t think it’s 100 yards. Regardless, there is nothing between those two docks and it was pretty clear that is where I was heading. Yes, I’ve seen much worse, but I would not have jumped in front of him like he did me.
@@FishOn1 I fish in there often so I wanted to check on Google Earth to see how far it was away and it's actually a little over 100 yards. I get your sentiment but that's awfully far away for someone else to assume you were heading there next and not go there on the opposite side of that dock.
@@snutz213 appreciate your comments. I’m going to disagree though and say it should be pretty obvious. If someone is fishing down that bank pointing in that direction, there’s a high likelihood that dock is their next stop. He had the right to do what he did, but in my view, it’s not showing good sportsmanship or ethics and I would not do it.
My partner and I fish there as well, here's a good notion to keep in mind...FISH the place you want to be at not fish....UP TO the place you want to be at. You're 100+ yds away and think you should have 1st dibbs from that far away, that's the problem here.
@@804kingoffoamsjs5again, agree to disagree. When someone is very clearly fishing that direction and there is little to nothing to fish in between, it’s just rude to jump in front of of them. Go behind them instead.
great video man people are so rude
Sweet vindication, seems like that guy is the type that zips around in a hurry and accomplish nothing.
kinda funny he has a American flag on the front yet doesn't want you to have the basic freedoms to enjoy the outdoors and fish
Excellent observation!
What a jerk. I'm glad you stood up for your rights. I wish more people knew their rights and stood up for them. It doesn't make for a fun experience though when you're just trying to relax and enjoy the day. Thanks for sharing!
@@apollos5184 thanks for viewing and the supportive comment!
While not breaking the law, it does seem you enjoy the agitation.
I assure you that I prefer to fish in peace.
Finding the right patches of grass is definitely key on the Potomac. Did you fish any of the docks?
Didn’t fish any docks that day, but did try some other hard cover. The shade might have been a good idea though.
