Wondering how big that weak fish was?

Nice tutorial, and for a guy who fishes for stripers in bays and off jetties or boats with lures, I finally know what a "bunker" is. In the Navy, bunker is the fuel that runs the ships. Who knew it was also bait. So if I catch a mackerel I know how to cut it up and hook it too now, Going up to PEI to fish in early October and they require barbless hooks so appreciate the tips here. Good luck to all the fisher people out there. Love ocean fishing cause you never know what could be biting!

A real how to & what too doodoo i like when the fishing boats herd the strikers in close to shore In May 2023, the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries (DMF) reported that a large number of dead striped bass washed up on the shores of Great Pond in Falmouth, Massachusetts. The DMF determined that the fish died after eating too many cinderworms, which are small aquatic worms that live in the mud of salt ponds and estuaries. During the spring, the worms spawn in huge swarms, which fishermen call worm hatches. The DMF observed that the dead fish had their stomachs and gills full of worms, and anglers had seen the striped bass "boiling" as they ate the worms. The fish kill only seemed to affect striped bass, and not other species in the area, so it's not believed to be related to water quality issues.
