Wow, love the two locos in tandem! Would love to know what type of steam engines they are. Enthuiasiastic Gran

Our own south african cape Town train
@@sidneyfredericks9820 and we're very proud to have them
Is this in Australia?
@@yellowrailproductions No ,this is in South Africa
Awesome stuff man. Love it.
@@WillCharlesRoss Thanks Bossman
@@Imsaptouw 👍👍👌
Crazy
😊
Something'nice to see in a long time steam trains nice very nice i love it❤🎉😊
@@VictorAppollis definitely a change for sure
Nice video. Good to see a 160 axle train again fully loaded. Thanks for sharing
@@transnamibnel Thanks Oom. It's really nice to see some electric action on the main lines.
Nice to see a decent number of passengers inside the EMUs. The coaches of the malmsbury don't look like they have the lights on inside, or have they been dimmed?. Enjoyed the incoming shot of the 18Es with that cement train. Nice work👌🏾
@@marval44039 yeah the EMUs doing the last sweeps for the day, peak hour traffic. Just wish we'd have double sets running but eish.
Awesome video man!!!!
@@WillCharlesRoss Thanks Bossman, really appreciate it!

Smooth compilation, mate. The quality is just lekker. It's great to see the 5Es in the Western Cape
Thanks Boss, yeah i didnt expect the 5Es to be leading but as surprised as i was, i had to make rhe most of it.
Wow stunning video of rovos train. Do they use the diesel locomotive on the non electrified sections
Yes Nigel, that is correct.
Thanks, great video! You write that the train runs weekly - doesn't it run daily except Sundays?
Yes, my mistake, its daily.
Another excellent video!!! You should use a service such as smzeus!!!
Hi which line does the ceres train use to go to Simon's town
In this instance it went via Bellville, and then i think saltriver-wyneberg
Thanks nice video I must say those diesels sound very healthy and in good working condition unlike the others I have seen. Do they use this diesels permanently on the MALMESBURY train
Yessir, sometimes the diesels give problems aswell.
Cue the wiggle song at 03:47😄
Amazing video of this train
Hi I was on the Atlantic Rail steam train yesterday, it went past De Grendal twice, I am not sure if you captured it or not. I have a video of passing by the area.
I was there the first time yes, unfortunately couldn't make the 2nd time
You got a greeting from both ends at 00:52,nice.Passanger numbers on this line must be low since their using a single set EMU
I like how the pantos get down low before passing through the bridge
Ceres rail without the steam. I wonder if the people got a discount on that day. Nice to see a variety of motive power with the Rovos.
Thanks friend the rovos rail with their different loco power was a real supprise
Very nice compilations. Thanks.
👍🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂
Great catch love it
Great video ImSaptouw!
nice catch with the 36's ....
Thanks Oom Piet
Thanks for the video. Do they have a shortage of class 35s now
No it was only that day
Oh wow!
Nice, isn't it! 😀
@@Imsaptouw It is wonderful!
Beautiful I wish all our trains can be as clean and neat like the blue train
Its very possible.
Don't you see the shosholoza meyl anywhere
They ran in December but stopped services.
I'm glad this compilation consists of the custom painted blue 20Es only. They really suit the train so perfectly. The best locomotives the blue train has had, in my opinion.
I agree 100% with you Marval. These blue 20Es should stay on the Blue Train, and if they're out of service, they should allocate and paint 2 other corresponding numbered 20Es.
Who built the diesel locomotives? What horsepower are they?
Which diesels are you refering to?
Sorry about that, I should have been more specific. The diesels at the beginning of the video.
@@gordonvincent731 Class 43-000 General Electric type C30ACi diesel-electric locomotives, 3000-3300hp
@@Imsaptouw OK, now I know, thanks for the info.
❤❤❤❤
We don't see those locos in the Cape...pity... would love to see them 🚂👍
I agree, but i doubt those triple axles will survive our tight curves on some sections.
2:07 is my favorite clip. Loved how the train picked up speed going over the points
They get going so fast its music to my ears
W
Thanks great video the class 23e locos are quite busy in the northern cape
Yes they are indeed very busy, id go as far to say they run that coal corridor up to a point.
Fantastic video. Gives me goosebumps.
Beautiful to still have a steam train around
We still have a couple doing rounds
Looks nice! Do you have any from this day in 2022? I was on it with my family then.
Unfortunately i do not
@@Imsaptouw Oh ok, thanks.
As an old spoorie, breaks my heart to see the state of neglect of the rail system in SA. Never was like that, ever.
The ANC should feel ashamed really. But do they?
@@nelsonchinasamy9857 can't blame anc, they don't take accountability for anything 😂. Always...but always someone else's fault 😛
Itt is the apartheid which led to this ! Eish.
@@kobusdewet5004 yeah, always apartheid and colonialists fault. I have suffered under those evil systems, . but I have put that in the past and moved ahead. From the son of an indentured labourer to a chemical engineer. I have worked hard to be where I am today. From the sugarcane fields of KZN To the vineyards of the Western Cape. I have made it happen for myself, never begging the government or anyone else for anything.
Now 28 years since they got an almost pristine country and it has been reduced to near rubble by African mentality. Imagine if they ran this previously beautiful country from around 1900 when the British were in charge. Eish, would have been a wasteland sooner.
Hey there, is the 10M3, 5M2A or X'Trapolis Mega more common in your area? I usually only see the X'Trapolis Mega from Cape Town when going to Fish Hoek, but I also see the 5M2A Shuttle for Fish Hoek to Simon's Town. One problem, the shuttle is suspended, but other people have seen the X'Trapolis Mega and 10M3 there as well. I look forward to a response.
So far, the recent consist has been the X'trapolis, but i think when things pick up in January and people start working, the 5M2A and 10M5s will be used more. Koeberg depot has a lot of X'trapolis staged there, some seem to be in service when driving on the M5 overlooking into the yard.
@@Imsaptouw I see, I go past the area regularly. I think you mean Salt River Station, due to the fact that Koeberg Road Station doesn’t have a depot. Isn’t the 10M5 only used in Kwazulu-Natal? I thought they had specific names for specific regions. The only regions which don’t have the 10M series is Port Elizabeth and East London.
@@Imsaptouw Ok no sorry I am confused now, it either looks like Ysterplaat, Salt River or Koeberg Road, I am honestly confused. Edit: It could even be Espalande Station.
@@FamtechVideos yes my apologies, i meant salt river.
Happy to our trains back to work and thanks for the update videos on different tracks please let us save our economy thanks God bless
Excellent video in spite of windy conditions
Thanks Oom Piet, yes very windy indeed.

What the fu- Also, you earned a sub from me, I love trains, I went on a 5M2A from Simons Town.
Shes vrek weird, thanks for the sub.
@@Imsaptouw No worries, I also do trainspotting, I have yet to release a video on my spottings, such as the 5M2A, X'Trapolis Mega and Malmesbury Metro (The only ones I have footage of being in operation, Malmesbury Metro only leaving Cape Town Station, the others all over the Southern Line).
@@FamtechVideos you should post, always looking forward to seeing new areas and content.
@@Imsaptouw I will be putting together the compilation today.
@@Imsaptouw I have got the videos together, time to edit.
Nice wish they could fix the, stations
Same here. This station looks horrible. I can imagine what the tourists think when they run through the dilapidated stations on The Blue Train and Rovos.
