Thanks so much! At the time I was using the TM Warthog flight stick and throttle, and then also some Logitech rudder pedals - Since then I've swapped the stick out for a VKB Gunfighter III with an extension (couldn't be happier), and a set of MFG rudder pedals (couldn't be happier with these either!) - I kept the Warthog throttle because I love its action

Man when I watched that back for the first time I thought, "Uh oh... do I have issues!?" - So that's kind of nice to hear 😆 I also found it interesting that I only seemed to do it between combat and not during.. sort of like how the 'slow/steep climb' on a roller coaster is the peak of anxiety, as opposed to what it's like once you've dropped

@@frkop Back then I had: PC: Ryzen 7800 CPU and a RTX 2070 Flight gear: Thrustmaster Warthog stick + throttle and Logitech rudder pedals VR: HTC Vive Pro Nowadays I have switched to: PC: Ryzen 7800X3D with an RTX 3090 Flight gear: VKB Gunfighter III stick, Thrustmaster Warthog throttle (I love it and stuck with it), MFG Rudder pedals with the P-51 foot pedals + hydraulic damper, and a few other panels. VR: HP Reverb G2

@NeatoSims played it for near 12 years an still have good freinds around the world because of the sim. I loved the Russian stuff. On open servers we had a group that would only play russian bombers, we were called the Red Swarm lol. Skip bombing ships with the Tu-2 was one of my fave things, carried 3 x 2000 kg Bomba.

Sadly no.. IL-2 does not allow swastikas for legal reasons

Thanks! Sadly there is not an edited version - The 'camera man' is there so that viewers can see the control inputs, not so that the camera man exists in the footage. Luckily, only about 5-10% of the screen is occupied by this and there is no important information behind it that is visible throughout the footage.

Yes I agree - That is the nature of capturing from VR sadly - I would love to find a solution at some point as it bothers me as well!

Thanks for watching! The title is actually regarding the pilot's (my) choices to stay in a fight, regardless of what potential harm that put the rest of the Squadron in. I have since worked on being more thoughtful in terms of 'is this kill worth it?' - however I thought that this flight was a great example of how a pilot can get carried away in the heat of battle!

Re: the center-mounted stick; that is excellent advice, although since the time of making this video I have changed sticks (The VKB Gunfighter) with a stick extension - and I couldn't be happier with how it's set up! I would imagine that it looks painful twisting that short Warthog grip around in the video with it in the very center but I've been able to update my setup since then!

There actually was an issue with the head-tracking on this one; however it seems to be the nature of capturing VR footage on a flat screen that it amplifies the very fine movements of my head - I'm looking into something I could do with post-processing to mitigate this for future videos!

No but that would be great and I'm looking into getting one of those set up in the next year - In the heat of the moment I'd said "pressure" but I think I meant that the torque of the engine was pulling the 'left wing down' and therefore I'd been applying pressure to the opposite side to stay straight (or maybe it's the other way around, I might have said that backwards). I was pretty new to flying altogether when I'd made this video
