Hello! So I would make sure my settings in the game for mods/CC are on and that the mods are being downloaded to the correct sims4 mods folder. Hope that helps otherwise I made a new video where I answer questions and explain curse forge more clearly :)

@@DiamondDR hi! when i allowed the mods and restart the game, then it popped out "Maxis don't support mods" aand below it was a list of modds, and in the bottom right corner a tick where i can only accept it, this is what happened, and sorry i can't explain it properly because i'm not good at english.

It’s okay! So I think I understand it can be a few things. 1. The mods are broken and don’t work 2. The mods aren’t downloaded correctly or the file wasn’t extracted correctly 3. The mods aren’t compatible with the game

Hi! That is a little strange, my only guess would be that you’re not choosing the right file format maybe? Just in case double check the file your choosing it should look like this if it’s EA ( C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin\ ) otherwise I would try to contact curseforge and see if they can help you further :)

Hi Lynn, so this comes down to preference, I can update and delete my mods from curseforge with my mods organized in folders. It works either way it just depends if you want them organized or not. Hope this helps! :)

ok, well i organized them in folders but they don't get updated or deleted when i do that from the curseforge app. they just come into the mods foler ready for me to move them into the select folders--thank you so very much for replying to me--i am still in the process of downloading my curseforge mods.

I don’t use the auto update option, I like to see what needs to be updated and decide if I still want them lol I have a lot of mods. Either way it still works for me :))

That’s a great question. So regardless of where you download modded houses from like a website or curse forge they are almost always the same. When you download a modded house it almost always requires you to go download additional CC for it on other websites or something, I know it’s tedious and it’s so much extra steps but unfortunately almost all modded houses are like that even on curse forge. Cursforge won’t automatically add all the extra links and CC for you. It’s actually up to the creators themselves to upload those extra links but for the most part the extra cc isn’t theirs and they don’t own them so they can’t include it under the download for the modded house. That doesn’t mean every single mod you download on curseforge is like that but I can tell you that all modded houses are for the most part like that. out of all the houses I’ve downloaded I’ve only managed to find one that included everything.

First off thank you, and that’s interesting I never ran into that issue but my guess would be to go with the first download option, another thing you could do is experiment what both options do and then choose which one works. Sorry never came across this but hope it helps!

Hmmm, okay here are some things that come to mind. 1. Make sure you have cc/mods enabled 2. Make sure you have curse forge connected to the Correct sims folder for mods/cc

Are you taking about the app or mods?

create a new folder in your mods folder, which would be in the same place as your resource.cfg, then go to downloads and drop the cc in the folder that you created and it should work.

im on pc!, also sorry for all the trouble but i realized i needed to be connected to the website before i downloaded anything! although took me 2 hours to figure out now im tryna figure out how to find where my downloaded items are in the sims 4 although it tells me i have downloaded items, but it doesnt apear in the dressing room@@DiamondDR

Ok, First make sure you have your cc/mods enabled in the Sims 4 options otherwise no mods will show up, if that's set then you might have a download manager that interferes with the file or an anti-virus program that deletes the file so basically make sure you give permissions to Curse forge and that nothing is blocking it. One more thing you could check on is to make sure the downloads are getting downloaded into your Sims 4 Mods folder if it isn't you should be able to change where the downloads go in the Curse forge setting by clicking "Addons" and under "Application content path" and redirecting it to your mod folder in the Sims 4, I hope this helps let me know if you need any more help!

I don't think I have a mod for that, if I'm correct it's already in the game you can find it by choosing more options when you click on your pet, and "leash" should show up under pet care.
